Bacharth
Last night, Marschall Kraftig Oppøre's life was threatened during a military training exercize in northern Stockholm. A reichshær sniper decided to load his rifle with actual rounds and take shots at him. The man was found out, and later released. Not four hours later, he was spotted hanging by his neck from a local Stockholm brewery with his insides wrapped around him, the skin of his legs removed, and what appeared to be wounds fireworks in his buttocks. Across his chest read the words, "This is what happens to traitors". Officials say that he died from the hanging, and the gruesome altercations were performed before the man's death. People are now speculating that Kaiser Magnus' personal guard and secret police, known as the reichsvakt, was behind the mutilation of the traitor. The commander of the reichsvakt, Jakob Asplund, released this, "The reichsvakt does not perform such hideous mutilations, and we are not at the defense of the high military officers. Our only priority is the Kaiser, and those who he tells us to protect. So far, the only foreign dignitaries that he has had us defend with that priority was when Kaiser Martens came to visit, and even that was failed because of a traitor." When asked about the driver who had the same sort of mutilations happen to him, Asplund answered, "Again, we do not perform such hideous mutilations. Perhaps another agency or faction performs these. The reichsvakt is only the personal guard of the position of the Kaiser." DIO, the Distopyan Intelligence Organization, was not targetted for this, as they were finishing up a highly classified mission.

Subtleknifewielder
This is quite a disturbing retribution, no matter who carried it out. Though we do not condone his actions, no one should have to die like that.
HHAYD
This is quite a disturbing retribution, no matter who carried it out. Though we do not condone his actions, no one should have to die like that. We agree, we prefer life sentence in jail unless if a criminal constantly escapes from prison. Vedran
Why was he released in the first place? One would think attempted assassination of a head of state would be a somewhat serious offense.
Bacharth
Kaiser Magnus: "The man attempted to assassinate Oppøre, not myself, also, he agreed to tell DIO the information about the other men involved, since he could not have done this alone. In any case, it is an act of high military treason, and when dealing with the military, it is a death sentence. I do agree that no man should suffer that much pain, we prefer the chair or a good old fashioned hanging." Marschall Oppøre: "What Magnus says is true. The man would have gotten the death sentence." DIO Chief Officer Rand Kavsson: "From what we gather, the people involved have extensive medical knowledge, meaning it is a professional organization, and not just some group of patriots angry at the man. However, for classified reasons, we are dropping the case."

Subtleknifewielder
In situations like this, yes. So that makes you better than the criminals? That you approve of these actions only in certain circumstances?
