mastab
Standing before cheering crowds waving red flags, Councilor Minh Hongtinh approached the podium and held a sheet of paper declaring the existence of the People's Asian Democratic Coalition and signed by dozens of delegates from regions across Southeast Asia in the air triumphantly. "My comrades; today is a great day for Asia. By a unanimous vote, the scattered people of Southeast Asia are isolated and separated from their brothers no longer - today, a new power rises in Asia - the People's Asian Democratic Coalition!" After the burst of cheering that followed that statement died down, he continued. "The PADC hopes to gain many allies in the next few days. We intend to revolutionize the industry of the PADC by entering the global economic scene and exporting our many valuable goods to nations across the world. It is my promise to you that, within the next decade, every citizen of the PADC will be housed, fed, employed, educated, and proud to be from the world's most progressive nation! Further, I am proud to announce that to help protect us in our formative days and to begin a strong friendship from an early time, the PADC has entered a mutual defense agreement with the people of Neo-Japan." The PADC is opening its doors to all ambassadors, foreign news agencies, and foreign leaders who should wish to visit. OOC: I'll announce more tomorrow. Sleep now. Lord Frost
With this Announcement, the Empire will be sending additional troops to help ensure order until the PADC see's fit to kick us out, and a small task fleet will be joining the PADC navy in defending coastal borders for the time being. (OOC: I'd say only a very short time mastab) We are glad that such a peaceful and popular government has come to the forefront of this region. Further, the PADC will be included in the new SOSUS network being developed. Finally, we cordially invite our allies in the PADC to join ANCA, the leading economic treaty (maybe organization one day?) in Asia EDIT: added moar Edited March 31, 2009 by Lord Frost

mastab
The PADC thanks all of the delegates for their support. As the council's first act (aside from signing the declaration of unity) a massive reorganization and restructuring plan has been planned and put into action. A census has been performed of the PADC's population and the council estimates that there are currently approximately 7,500,000 people living within the PADC accurate within 100,000 individuals. The follow statistics related to the population have been announced: Gender Distribution: 54% female, 46% male. Age Distribution: 0-20: 38% 20-64: 57% 65+: 5% The PADC will also be rebuilding the military. At the end of the reorganization, it is expected that the military will have 550,000 professional soldiers, eight nuclear silos, an aircraft composed of 75 squadrons, and a fleet of 36 ships. With this Announcement, the Empire will be sending additional troops to help ensure order until the PADC see's fit to kick us out, and a small task fleet will be joining the PADC navy in defending coastal borders for the time being.
