Michael McBride
The below image flashes up on the screen, followed by the words "BREAKING NEWS BULLETIN" and the same man sitting behind the desk as there was before. "Good evening. Tonight, I come before you with the news that the Atheist Republic can defend itself. Our current standing army is 150,000 troops strong, along with another 120,000 reserves. We will be enacting a national draft situation to bring ourselves up to what we perceive, as full military readiness. Hopefully at some point within the next two weeks, we shall have all the bodies we need." "Also, the Republic Navy is ready for launch. Currently, our navy consists of seven cruisers, six destroyers, and six carriers. The exact number of ships at sea currently is classified." "The rest of our military force currently remains classified, but be warned. Any force who tries to enter Republic territory, be it land or sea, or is seen near our borders in a threatening manner, will be dealt with to the fullest extent, up to and including nuclear weapons. Do not test us in our resolve." The screen again goes black.
Raritan
OOC: Does your navy include the ones that RV shot missiles at? They're still contaminaited with VX and sitting off the coast of Norflok unless they've already been brought back to Florida. IC: The United Republic congratulates its southern neighbor on its accomplishments. Edited March 30, 2009 by Raritan

OOC: I had given a response to that post, which then, to my knowledge, was never responded to. So, in the grand scheme of things, they were pulled back to Florida. Also, not all of these ships would have been deployed, there was a Home Defense Fleet that never left port.
