The candidates have made their opening speeches, so lets take a look at each of them: Hidolf Atler Age: 30 What would you bring to Alvonia? "A better, more productive, peaceful country." What would you do in the case of an invasion? "Fight to the death for every bit of land. Anyone who invades would not be able to walk over us and take our land." What are your veiws on the Vatican? "No comment." David Cook Age: 32 What would you bring to Alvonia? "A smarter population, a more eco-friendly citizenry and many more advancements." What would you do in case of an invasion? "Well, uh.....try to settle it with diplomacy?" What are your veiws on the Vatican? "I believe in God, and as one of his children I believe that the Vatican should stay." Sven Dixon Age: 42 What would you bring to Alvonia? "Better health care, a faster transportation system and an overall better 'vibe' to the country." What would you do in case of an invasion? "Fight back. Who wouldn't?" What are your veiws on the Vatican? "I guess it can stay. I'm not really a religous person, but at the same time I'm not an atheist." The floor is now open to questions. David: "I will try to open an embassy in every nation that I feel could help us." Sven: "I'll attempt to keep our foriegn image positive." A socialist leader will recieve our support and even aid. Sven Dixon was found shot in his estate this afternoon, the gun was presumed to be a 45. caliber handgun. No signs of a struggle were found and robbery was not a motive, as his valuable posessions were still in the building. Hidolf Atler's bodyguard Alexander Harlander is suspected. He gave a speech concerning his victory earlier today. "I will bring great honor to Alvonia by making our military stronger than ever! Nobody will be able to invade, as I will put all artillery on a 24-hour watch! Training for the Oberstes Korps begins tomorrow! Our country is the greatest! The national anthem begins playing.
