John stopped and looked at the faces, most had expected this news but there were still some who were surprised by this announcement. John continued 'Effectively immediately Newfoundland is no longer a part of Canada and will hold elections as soon as possible to determine who the leaders of this new country will be, the capital of this new country will be St. Johns. John stepped down from the podium and walked off the stage as cameras flashed and reporters shouted out questions. OOC: Yes, I have permission to do this. 'The people of Newfoundland have voted for their new president and the result is that I have been elected with 67% of the vote, I will live up to the promises I made and will immediately begin working on creating government controlled companies for Investments, Liquor and Gaming, Insurance, Transportation, Energy, Power, Telecommunications, and Water.'
