0100 - Java Sea - Classified

On board the two battleships fresh from their training trails they returned to the Java Sea to port in Semarang... but changed course to meet up up with the four Amphibious Assault Ships and accompanying escort of two guided-missile destroyers and two frigates.

The ships left the Semarang harbor on Java about 90 hours before and steamed into the middle of the Java Sea and started a course Northwest by North towards Singapore. The moblization was done with ease due to the still prevailing high DEFCON levels and mandatory preparedness procedures still in effect.

"Admiral? What's our destination?" said the ship's captain.

"Straits of Malacca to the port of Banda Aech." the Admiral Irery Lada stated gravely in half-doubt.

"Aye, sir."

But the folder that was still in his quarters said otherwise... soldiers and his fleet of ships were heading to Confucianism and invade it. They hadn't heard from them in awhile, that much he knew and the government of Tanis was going to keep care of the area. Hopefully no know else was planning to do the same thing.

0230 - Jakarta Air Force Base

The local fleet of C-5s and C-17s were gathered here for the time being after the Singapore war to keep them out of harm's way. Crack airborne troops numbering around 8,000 were gathering for the eventual airborne assault that was planned in conjunction of the seaborne invasion.

OOC: Have you PM'd him? If he does go inactive...it should collectively be taken by the AC, not by an individual member.

OOC: Actually, this war isn't about Pacifism actually... and normally, I wouldn't be doing this operation unless it had a bigger scope, which it does. */me points to Biohazard*

Admiral Gerard Fletcher sat in the captain's chair of the ITS Halcyon, the 'Capital Ship, Battleship of Battle Group Alpha. Alpha was being redeployed from Timoresian waters, and was making a bee-line to the former nation of Velvika, now jointly-controlled by Timoresian and Confucianism armies. There was already a small garrison of soldiers on the island, about 1,250 National Guard. Fletcher was to deploy a small amount of Imperial Soldiers, about 5,250, before carrying the rest of the 2,000 soldiers, as well as 7,500 Imperial Marines, to the main island of Confucianism.

Air support was going to be limited until a small base of operations could be set up, after which, bombing of Confucianism was to be commenced. Little air resistance was going to be met, or so intelligence suggested. Fletcher ordered his Communication's Officer to radio the Tanisian military comm., and notify them that the Timoresians were preparing their invasion.

Not only would Confucianism lose its former Velvikan territory, but it would also lose it's main island to the combined forces of the Tanisians and Timoresians.

</Classified/Military/Timoresian Land in Velvika/>

PFC Mattias Jenkins was walking through the National Guard camp. Word was coming down from up top that an invasion was to begin soon, against the Confucianists. Most of the island was controlled by them, except for a small part at the south - Timoresian land. The National Guard wasn't to do much, but defend the land from attack. The army would be doing the bulk of the work, and unless things go too hectic, the NG could expect a lot of R&R during the invasion.

He stopped dead when his CO, Major Marshall stopped him. He saluted and held it, until Marshall returned the salute haphazardly. Jenkins stood at attention, as Marshall began to talk.

"Jenkins, with the upcoming invasion, we need soldiers that are going to be able to fight and think in the thick of combat. To be able to lead their men through the upcoming hell that we know as war. You readin' me?"

Jenkins mumbled out something incoherently, before Marshall continued. "Well, I know you NG are trained as Soldiers, but mainly just fill a garrison duty. In any event, you're being promoted to the rank of Sergeant, and you will be commanding a platoon of soldiers, under Lieutenant Jefferson. Understood?"

Jenkins just stared into space, dumbfounded that he had been promoted, and not only that, was going to be commanding a platoon of soldiers in the upcoming invasion. He closed his mouth, which had been in the form of a comical O when Marshall announced his promotion, and stammered out, "B-but, sir, Why am I getting promoted? What have I done to deserve it, or to be even apart of the invasion force?"

Marshall sighed, and knew the kid was going to say that. "Because, you think quick on your feet. I looked at your record, and know all about the training mission. You saved those two men, before the helicopter went down. Your leg got caught as you tried to jump out, and you had to spend a month in the hospital because of it. You put yourself in risk to keep your men alive, even though you weren't their CO. We need good soldiers like you on the frontlines, where stuff like that can be put to use. Understand"

Jenkins nodded. "Yes, sir."

Marshall smiled at the kid, and said, "Good, now go get your gear. Your platoon will be arriving soon, and we'll need to run them through some drills to get them up to snuff."

Military forces? Your intelligence must be flawed - as far as I know, and I would know, I'm the Supreme Commander of the Timoresian Naval, Air, and Ground forces, there are no military movements being made at this time.

- Field Marshall Rizak

Then you might just have another rogue on your hands, this time in the navy. We did not intend to spy, but one of our satelites passed over our region in its regular orbit, and happened to spot a battle group headed for your joint holdings with Confucianism.

--Private message to Timor & Tanis--

There are rumours circulating of a possible joint military action towards Confucianism, we politely demand that you clarify what your positions are.

OOC: i have historical claim over the province of Sabah and of Brunei hence my nation would be 'surprised' to see Confucianism rolled without our involvement.

***Classified / Tanisian Military Command / Response***

To Promised Land:

We do have a naval battle group enroute to Banda Aceh from Jakarta. This is a routine transfer/joint exercise training preparation.

To Cataduanes:

Dear ally, such rumors are false. Confucianism is a great fellow ally of ours. There is no great rumor of 'joint military action' on Confucianism. We have normal military activity as usual. However, to ease your mind, we'll be informing our military liaison to you shortly.

OOC: I know of your historic claims... and if you want to get involved, be my guest I suppose.

The Tanisian's knew from experience during the Singapore War to refrain from all electronic communication as necessary for big troop movements and operations... but rather pre-plan and let competence field officers execute the orders. So when they started to receive radio transmissions from the Timorese, they never replied. However, the battle group 'heading' for Banda Aceh dispatched a helicopter over to the Timorese and to inform them of some things. From there, that helicopter would return to Java, refuel, and move up the coast towards Banda Aceh... or so it would say on the flight logs.

(OOC: You don't mind if I control this)

"This is Echo 23 requesting landing clearance on helo deck. Over."

"This is ITS Halcyon, Echo 23, landing clearance is green."

"Roger, Echo 23 out."

The Tanisian Westland Super Lynx helicopter touched down on the capital ship deck, blades spinning rapidly. The side doors slide open and several figures emerged. All were officers and they were to chat with the Timorese about the 'plan'.

0400 - Java Sea

The Tanisian battle group was still steaming for a course to Malacca Strait to Banda Aceh, but they slowed down a bit to 12 knots. If anyone was going to ask, they would reply, "Choppy seas." Once the Timorese's were informed within the next 90 minutes they assumed, they would redirect course to a North by Northwest heading.

)0345 - Jakarta Air Force Base

The pre-flight plans were complete, the paratroopers aboard. One by one, each C-5 and C-17 was checked offed and prepped for departure. Air crews scrambled about, taking off wheel lugs, directing the large planes with flashlight cones. Then in a single file line, the cargo planes taxied to the two main runways of the base. Engines roaring to full power, they powered into the warm, moist area. This was the first wave... a pathfinding group to guide the rest of the airborne invasion with.

The Halcyon was making best speed towards the main island of Confucianism, after dropping off their infantry load on Timoresian-Velvika. The 7,500 Imperial Marines were now approaching Confucianism-proper, and awaited on the outskirts of it, for the order to invade.

---

Meanwhile, on Timoresian-Velvika...

The battle was to commence immediately. Not expecting much resistance from the Confucianism army, the 2,000 Soldiers, and 500 of the NG-turned-Military pushed into Confucianism-held Velvika. They garrisoned the first city they came too, and spread out, preparing for the rush into the rest of the island. So far, no fighting had occurred between the two sides, however, there was some intelligence suggesting the Confucianists were waiting for the Timoresians to attack. For the time being, they rested from the small amount of land gained, and prepared for the next assault.

0500 - Eastern Confucianism

After a uneventful ride over the Java Sea, two C-5s flew over a clearing and dropped the pathfinders onto the ground. The plane made a second pass over the area to drop a couple vehicles for support. A light tank and M2 Bradley. The initial landing went without incident and they set up a perimeter.

30 minutes later... 6,000 paratroopers were to land over a stretch of 10 miles with their equipment. In the glowing daylight... the flutter of thousands of parachutes would blacken the sky for a brief moment.

After the paratroopers set up, they would radio a brief code word to naval units in the Java Sea to continue the operation.

0545 - Java Sea

The naval units made a course change to North by Northwest heading to the South China Sea. Slowly, they would enter Confucianism waters and wait.
