Far as the ZI for $60mil is concerned, if it is correct that he left and had not initiated arrangements to pay back the aids taken in a reasonable time frame, he earned ZI 60 million times over. GRAN took it upon themselves to aid CF, CF needed to take it upon himself to clear that debt. I don't care if you take a dollar from me or 50mil, if you do not follow your end of the bargain knowingly and intentionally, you deserve only the best ZI. Seems this area is a bit mucky. Any proof that CF approached GRAN about repaying this debt or did this occur after sentencing to ZI? How long after he left was he sentenced?

Bob, good on you for stepping up to squash this. I don't know you, but good luck with your friend.

I gotta disagree. If CF didn't immediately offer to repay what GRAN felt was owed, they should've talked to him. Sentencing him to ZI without talking to him, and advocating such an action, is just absurd. Misunderstandings occur all the time and to attack first, ask questions later is unreasonable.

I don't know enough about the situation to levy and opinion about who's right and who's wrong, so I'll just say that Bob's actions here are impressively generous. Good luck to Captain Flinders all parties involved.

Sorry if I am being ignorant (ignorant in that I did not read the other 14 page thread past your response on page 2), but where exactly is the proof? It would seem that if you offered it up, this would have all been cleared from the beginning and with you paying back your debt, not others. That's not to say I am taking GRAN's side 100%, while I like them enough, I try to remain as unbiased as possible hence my stating this is all sorta mucky and asking if there was proof of such. As well I asked how long after you left that you were sentenced to ZI. Would have been equally as nice for GRAN to provide proof that you refused repayment or whatnot as well.

Where I am biased with you is that the air just seems to eternally stink around you. Yes I was the one to tell you that I thought you were Junka, did it on the OWF as well as in PM. While I realize that I may have been wrong in the exact assessment of WHO you were, I am not wrong in the assessment that you are a re-roll of someone, just possibly not Junky. Your application thread did not start as a joke, but your participation in it became apparent it was a joke and we continued it for (A) lulz and (B) to see who exactly you were. Might I add that ML is not and was not alone in accusations that you were Junka. Drama just seems to follow you while you feign the persecuted. It happens, but IMHO, when it happens so often, there is much more to it.

Where I come from, when you borrow, it is on you to repay and make those arrangements. If you skirt it, it is the same as theft. It's not like it is a case of "Oops I forgot I owed you $33/60mil that you just gave to me". That's not to say that they should not have talked to him, but it was not their responsibility and it's their sovereignty to decide what course of action is appropriate to them and not to Planet Bob.

I think that the biggest boo-boo here is that GRAN took a simple single nation ZI to the boards, it rarely ever ends well. It just invites people into your private alliance affairs, good or bad. But that's just my 2 cents.

I've observed a general obsession by some posters about the rare practice of chasing people who reroll to new nations. It is frequently claimed that alliances who do this ever are diminishing the world we live in.

Until I see a similar disdain by such posters about the common practice of alliance leaders giving ZI orders against random people for very little cause - which is frequently defended with the argument "well we're not going after him if he rerolls" - I remain sanguine as to the motives.

Ask yourself if you would like to continue on in a world where one or two years of nation development can be taken away by a cranky alliance leader on a whim.

ZI orders are serious and should not be given lightly.

I agree. The days of GOONs picking people to ZI based on resource pairings or whatever that was about, that was just nuts. I don't agree with just picking a nation for ZI for no reason at al, though still it is that alliances choice, as distasteful as it may be to you or I.

Now, what may be just cause in your opinion can very well be different in my opinion. To me, theft is just cause, if it is theft. If things are as said here by GRAN, then it is theft. If they are not as CF states, then it is not. Really when it comes down to it, it's still sorta up in the air. Both are wrong and both are right from statements by both sides, neither has been proven to be lying nor either to be more truthful.

There is such thing as "simple single nation ZI" when a nation simply steals from you, you simply ZI them. It is really nobody elses business. I have never made it the outside worlds business when someone stole from me, I just use appropriate action to rectify the issue to my satisfaction.

And as far as rerolls, I dunno on that one. From my standpoint, once a pickle, always a pickle. Is a ruler really a different person just by moving to a different country/nation and changing their name? I find it absurd to think so really.
