I remember when Brown was one of just a handful of colors and was lead by noble nations from noble alliances. I remember a day when Brown stood as the strongest trading sphere, head and shoulders above all others. The days of Brown dominance have passed, admittedly in part because of my own actions in other arenas, but the memory lingers. What has not passed is the heritage that is intrinsic within many of the alliances that now dwell in the Brown trading sphere. Noble nations in noble alliances seeking to do what is best for their membership and see their comrades prosper. A rich lineage of growth and peace. And today is no different. The characters on the stage may change but the underlying honor and nobility remains. The Brown trading sphere is ready to once again begin its move back towards prominence and relevance in the Cyberverse. Today we introduce the Terra-Cotta Pact, a mutual defense and trade agreement, open to all peaceful alliances of the Brown trading sphere that seek honor and prosperity for their nations. The first steps are always the toughest but we have found mutual dignity and respect can flourish even in these uncertain times. Therefore, on behalf of Carpe Diem and the New Sith Order, I would like to extend an invitation to our comrade alliances on Brown to take up the banner of mutual defense and mutual prosperity and sign with us to the Pact. Some alliances have already started discussion on this and may be ready to sign at their leisure in coming days and weeks, others will see it for the first time, but all are welcome to seek admission. Even alliances that are currently struggling in other trading spheres are welcome to move to Brown and take up this banner with us to see a brighter tomorrow. Therefore, without further rambling: The Terra-Cotta Pact A Mutual Defense and Trade Agreement for the Brown Sphere Preamble We, the signatory alliances of the Terra-Cotta Pact, vow to uphold the integrity and dignity of the Brown trading sphere. We will provide each signatory aligned nation within the Brown trading sphere the right to pursue prosperity for its citizens via trade, support and mutual defense. To that end we affix our name to this Pact claiming support for the mandates herein. Mutual Defense of the Brown Trading Sphere Should any signatory alliance be subject to an act of unwarranted aggression, the other signatory alliances are obligated to provide all reasonable assistance, both military or economic, unless the assaulted signatory alliance is involved in the conflict via other treaties or through the actions of another bloc. In such a case aid is voluntary. Economic and Trade Assistance Each signatory alliance is encouraged to work with one another to further trade and economic growth and prosperity for every nation in the Brown trading sphere. Each signatory alliance is encouraged to voluntarily take part in other contracts and agreements to facilitate this growth. Additions to the Pact and Cancellation Any alliance residing in the Brown trading sphere or claiming predominant placement within same that agrees to the intent of the Preamble and contained mandates is welcome to sign this Pact and receive equal and full benefits to all other signatory alliances, provided no signatory alliance objects. If an objection occurs a vote will be held among those signed alliances to determine if the applicant alliance will be accepted. Alliances seeking to sign should be unencumbered and able to carry out their own foreign policy without external approval or obligation. Alliances seeking to withdraw from the Pact must provide seventy-two hour notification in writing to the appropriate party within each signatory alliance.
