Lusakya, Commonwealth Republic of Zambia

Today, on the steps of Government House, Viceroy Doyen Agobe and Lord-Patriarch Ranather Rukia announced they had reached an agreement on Rukia's return to power in Africa.

"Today, the Free-City of Namibe has been re-organized into the Commonwealth Principality of Namibe, led by Lord-Prince Ranather Rukia. The Principality will enjoy all of the benefits of a Republic but more autonomy as a Principality." said an exuberant Viceroy Agobe.

"As a Principality, I can better administer the needs of those who feel disenfranchised by the systems in place in the greater Commonwealth." Rukia said in a statement earlier today.

The Socialist Party denounced the move, calling it 'Giving the radicals a foothold.'

Namibe City, Commonwealth Principality of Namibe

In his first act as Lord-Prince, Ranather Rukia formally established the Senate of the Principaity and the Office of the Prime Minister, which is the equivalent of a Duceroy in other divisions of the Republic. The Office was soon filled by a longtime and trusted associate of the Prince, Martin Everest, son of the assassinated former President of the Franzharian Republic of East Africa, Declan Everest.

Because of the concessions given to the Principality, Namibe is not required to elect it's head of government, only it's legislative body.

Why are we not surprised you found a way back into power, Rukia?

"My family rarely stays on the sidelines for long, is it not apparent by now? In any case, as was once said, everyone deserves a second chance, I fully intend to make up for my previous mistakes using lessons learned and bitter wisdom gained, often by fire."

Second chance? No, you are long past your second chance. More like your fourth, or fifth. And we distinctly remember you saying not that long ago that you would not attempt to re-gain power. How then can we be sure of any word you speak?

"You believe whatever you damn well please, I suppose. That statement pertained to a defunct state, I kept my promise, I never regained power, nor attempted to, in Franzharia. Namibe is not Franzharia, whatever one might think."

You mince words to such a fine point, one of these days you'll accidentally impale yourself on them.

"Is there a point to any of this or are we going to rattle sabers all day, I have duties to which I must attend. Aside, you're acting like I took the whole damn Commonwealth for Divine's sake."

OOC: Ranather is getting pretty defensive in his old age. :P

OOC: Yeah, i can tell... :P

"I simply find it odd that all of my actions are subject to constant questioning and scrutiny by Promised Land, moreso than by any other nation. I don't find it flattering nor amusing, but rather odd."

Perhaps it is because we once saw you as a beacon of light. If we sound bitter, it is because we are bitterly disappointed in what we see you have become.

"I have been hated, hunted, and hurt. Betrayed and nearly killed.....twice. I have killed in my name and had others do the same. My darkness and coldened heart are what they are. Perhaps one day I will find my solace, perhaps not."

"Your return to power surprises me Lord Rukia, I thought you had withdrawn from public service, but I guess it make some sense. It is hard for a politician, whatever the gender, age, or philosophical beliefs to just leave. The same reasons that I have stayed in power in the Hansa. I wish you luck in your endeavors in Africa. Please do not be a stranger to the Hansa, Larsa and I would love to entertain you as a guest in the near future."

"Thank you as always for the support.

As for the Promised Land Representatives, we'll talk later, I need time to collect my thoughts...and what remains of my nerves."

Forgive us if we sounded abrupt and rude. However, please do try and NOT get your nation into trouble this time around...

"Part of the reason I have invested the majority of my non-essential powers (Meaning nearly all Domestic issues not related to the Commonwealth as a whole) to the Prime Minister, my 'failsafe' if you will."
