Fly-By-Night

Slowly but surely, the messages were sent. It took a while, due to caution, to ensure that SWORD would not receive wind of this thing until it was too late, but they were sent out, one-by-one. The intelligence services of any nation that might have a grievance against Promised Land, or who wanted a measure of leverage, would receive the following missive...

"It has often been speculated, and no doubt you have wondered yourself...what is the real identity of Promised Land's shadowy leader--Subtleknifewielder? Well, you have a chance to find out. If you are interested in obtaining vital intelligence or leverage, send a representative of your government to Melbourne, to the specified location. Be sure they have the power to negotiate on your behalf."

~The Man From Melbourne

Following the message would be instructions on how to get to the meeting place, when to be there, and how to get in without attracting attention.

OOC: OK, just so you all know, the time frame of this thread is approximately two weeks into the rebuilding after the UFE's secret attack (which means LVN was still RP'ing Rockport, the Byzantines were still Nationalist, and the Nuclear Holocaust was still in the future). All events taking place in it are classified, though anyone who has any dort of intelligence operations is welcome to join. I have just one condition...the secret is not actually revealed unless I choose for it to be.

Everything that happens in this thread is, of course, automatically considered classified.

Oh, and there will most likely be fatal violence in this thread, so unless you're willing to risk your character's death, don't send someone vital to the running of your nation... :D

EDIT: For clarification, yes, my allies will have a chance to join in this too. but not right away. Anyone not directly allied to me got these messages.

The message was first picked up by the IGI. A board meeting amongst its top officials, in the highest secrecy, was held to discuss the matter. The Emperor was then informed of the message. Several heated arguments ensued, several moments that should have been in the movies also followed. Finally, after all deliberation, blood, sweat, and tears, after long gazes at his children and wife, and after many, many phone calls...the message was thrown out and thoroughly ignored. The Empire would not be going

OOC: :awesome: yus I had to :awesome:

OOC: ^_^ and now I shall stop filling your thread with ooc spam

OOC: I don't mind the OOC, really, as long as it's not filling every page.

OOC: Should Kelikark go? If he does....an earlier UK, so to say. :awesome:

(Kidding, by the way. :P )

OOC: Heh heh, that would be funny...but are you gonna respond in character? We did blatantly condemn your actions, even if your people believed us to have had no evidence. And perhaps the Gizli Polis suspected the true origins of my spies? :D

Baggs looked up from his newspaper as he heard the announcement.

"Komeil, get your shoes on, we need to go to Melbourne."

"I hear message. I know who Sublteknifeman person is already, not need to go."

"Who?"

"Fish Jello, that who."

"Alright... Wherever you got whatever you did to yourself to incite that idea, never return. Get your shoes."

Several hours later, five men entered Melbourne, and as far as anyone knows, none of them were Baggs or Komeil.

OOC: Baggs and Komeil can never die :awesome:

"Hmm.... This is interesting."

"It might also be a trap."

"Lets send someone expendable."

"LI WEI!"

The Imperium of America received the message and, thoroughly interested, earmarked a covert operative experienced in the subtle arts of espionage to the specified place, at the specified time.

(OOC: Can't get much more generic. :D )

OOC: Very true... :D

The message was picked up by the MDIS. When Williams finally recieved the message, it had been in the channels for nearly ten hours. He immediately authorised the dispatch of six agents to the area, to try and identify any suspicious activity.

OOC: He's bluffing if he claims he knows who SKW is... :P I could count the number of people in the RP world who know that on my fingers... :D

IC: Each party that arrived at the entrance of the rather seedy-looking nightclub would be asked to show ID. Upon showing it, they were to give a statement that had been attached to the directions for getting there. This statement was the prompt for the bouncers to ask a code question, and upon answering, the person or persons would be admitted.

The question and answer was different for each nation that had received the message, so as to root out any possible spies. Ones deemed legitimate would be escorted to the actual meeting room under the main building, while supsected infiltrators were to be stalled--they would be taken to a side room and told the person meeting them would be there shortly...

OOC: Does my old Chairman, Lynneth, know who SKW is? I forgot if you ever told him, but I don't think so. He only suggested that during the movie-plot-thinkings while he and Anderson were on the moon, if I remember right.

And thus, the new Chairman doesn't know it, either, rite?

The Pas Palace...

"Melbourne Ey? Smells like trouble" Said the Emporer to Mikey Way who was currently heading The Defence Force. "Send a Catholic priest in the Army, tell him we're sending him on a well paid vacation or some BS like that. Oh and send someone in the Specs. with him."

The Dragonisian's sent one of their highest ranking operatives. They weren't even known by names. They just were.. the only thing signifying who they were under the disguises they wore was a lapel pin of a blue asian dragon. It wouldn't even be able to be ascertained who they truly represent without inquiry. One thing was certain, they were quiet.

Upon giving the correct response

OOC: Each of you is allowed to RP whatever question and answer you wish. Go ahead and do that, but I reserve the right to determine who they think is a spy... ;)

IC: As the first arrivals were escorted into the underground meeting room, the man behind all this sat in a little, smaller room off to the side, finalizing his plans. He had only one other for company, another, older man with streaks of white running through his hair. "Are you sure about this? This doesn't seem the proper way to go about getting revenge."

"Don't worry," he replied, not looking up from whatever he was doing, "you'll have your revenge, and I'll have my money. Trust me."

The Dragonisian agent, though not clearly marked, was actually operating under counter intelligence initiatives. His goal was to sabotage the outcome and help the Sutble one keep his identity secret. He brought with him a briefcase.. apparently it was for business purposes. Truth be known there was a block of C4 hidden in the back, to be clever and prevent it from being recognized as anything dangerous.. a sculptor back home had carved the C-4 block into the shape and form of a laptop computer. He was instructed to, if necessary, take himself out and any information critical to the security of Promised Land. His family would be rewarded handsomely for his loss. He was well into his 60s and was hand picked tot his purpose.

When they arrived, they looked for the man they were told to meet there.

The man guarding the entrance to the club greeted him, asking for his ID. "You understand, of course? Can't be too careful in these chaotic times..." He was looking for the code phrase that would indicate what question he should ask...

When the Cainettian representitves arrived at the meeting, Fr McCormick started to sweat. He knew he was going to a meeting but this wasn't what he was expecting. He looked at his counterpart. He seemed to be relaxed. They walked up behind the Dragonosian Rep., and waited to be shown in.
