StalinsRevenge
Had certain alliances who were were discussing having potentially join our side we still may not have won, but it would have been alot more damaging for the Coalition. Your side has won, its just going to take a year or two before that becomes known.
elpadrino
why dont we just go 2 sides, 4 example 1V+allies and Citadel+allies and start one so the game gets a lot more interesting... (like in the first greatwars times)

UJP won? so thats why literally dozens of my friends were forced to quit the game. Sephiroth
War will never happen, because peace is just way to much fun. Why throw nukes at each other when we can throw money and hails at each other. o/ CN

It's part of the game. I'm not saying The Citadel and One Vision are going to become enemies but, I am sure a Fifth Great War will eventually start between former allies turned enemies. It's bound to happen.
Bob Janova
RV: The war wasn't One Vision vs BLEU, though. You could argue it was Continuum vs BLEU but the links there all went through one party (Polaris) – and significant pressure had to be applied to break those links and allow the people who wanted the war to get it. In the case of One Vision and Citadel (or SF), there are several bilateral ties and so the situation isn't really comparable imo.
Ryan Greenberg
I don't know why people would say there won't ever be another Great War again. Without Great Wars this game would be too boring. We need wars to excite people.

War is a part of this game, part of life for that matter... There will always be enemies. Always be clashes. Always will there be war. How people handle that, that's what makes it all interesting. Homura
Debateable. The outcome of that war was never in question, it was not particularly evenly matched, nor was it by any stretch of the word "great". The Unjust War began as evenly matched and perhaps even favouring GOONS at first given that they were the unsurpassed military behemoth at the time. Also the lead up and outcome completely shifted the politics of CN in a way that it seems few understand, but CN as of August 2007 had both similiarities and massive differences compared to the situation as of now. The same type of culture shift could happen again, and will require a "Great War" to accomplish.

Bob Janova
This 'war always happens in summer' thing needs to take a rest. GW2: January. GW3: March. UjW: September. Polar/Hyperion war: August. That's 1 of 4, and the least 'great' of the four at that.

Marcus Aurelius
This 'war always happens in summer' thing needs to take a rest. GW2: January. GW3: March. UjW: September. Polar/Hyperion war: August. That's 1 of 4, and the least 'great' of the four at that. GW1 was in July, and GW3 was pretty much a continuation of GW2, since the issue hadn't been resolved the first time. My general "watch out for war" times are summer and winter, when people are most likely to be away from work or school and wind up on CN. With this being an international game, it's possible it was summer during all of them, just not in the same place.
avernite
With this being an international game, it's possible it was summer during all of them, just not in the same place. March and september would not be summer anywhere, although on the september one there's a definition that includes it for the northern hemisphere. Still, it definately wasn't in the general summer holidays. As to the rest, a full-out Citadel-OV war is very unlikely. A war which somehow ends up involving both on different sides MIGHT happen, but I doubt such a war could end in the complete destruction of either side (As GW3 or the UjW were), and at worst would end with one side officially disbanded/defeated while being effectively capable of coming back for another round (like GW1/2).
