AC Protectorate Burma, Rangoon - Classified Tanisian Expeditionary Force

Earlier in the month, a force of about 300,000 Tanisian soldiers with their necessary equipment was in Burma, as a part of a now-scrapped multi-national invasion force toward the UFE. Since peace negotiations with Tahoe and Dragonsia were successful... the TEF was going to be disbanded and original two light brigades in Burma would be left behind... but since Siam area collapsed as well, another detachment of three light brigades would head to Bangkok to control of the new protectorate region.

However, news collapse of the UFE reached Tanis. The TEF would be still disbanded... but a downshift in numbers would occur, to about 175,000. But to make such a downshift, the timeline would occur over three months. The 175,000 would be shifted back to Tanis, back to their repected bases.

New orders for about 10,000 of the TEF were to board planes and the two landing ships to the city of Singapore. To the Tanisian political body, Singapore was a logistical, commercial, and military strategic area for them to gain control. The military body of Tanis didn't forget the failed attempt to gain Singapore after Mogatopia and after Realm's control the area. The times have changed however... and this time, this attempt would be for real.

The Philippines welcomes the presence of Tanis in Singapore.

OOC: Our long standing treaty is still in effect right?

OOC: Yes, our treaty is still in effect. Plus, this is all classified

IC: We cannot confirm that we are actually having a presence in Singapore. However, Tanis has not always recognized UFE's sovereignty over Singapore.

If the Republic of Tanis does not wish to see its nation on fire, its forces will withdraw from the area immediately. The fate of the UFE's southern holdings, like Singapore, are being decided. That is the entire purpose of the Conference. Any attempt at land grabbing will be met with the highest hostility

Classified Movements

Task fleet should be sent south immediately to counter Tanis forces. Weak things, should be a routine cleanup. Send several divisions along. The Southern Fleet, stationed at the new economic Zone, should begin heading East immediately. Stay out of coastal defenses range, just let them know we arn't playing around

As an ally of the now defunct UFE, Glorious Aotearoa calls for Tanis to stand down or face retaliatory action.

OOC: Please read more closely...

OOC: This thread is all classified... there is no public statement from our nation for the moment. Disregard Cataduanes IC statement, for he failed to realize that the moves were classified. There is nothing you can prove that I'm doing anything.

These actions were pending the conference in Asia... however, since we were publicly denied entry. I have troops ready to move, but we haven't acted that far yet.

The immediate classified moves are within my boundaries. The very close proximity of my nation to Singapore would only show a routine naval patrol. And it's only one ship, hardly to alert any of you. As for the AWACS patrol, that is also normal in my nations' DEFCON 1 status. The patrol would done over my waters between me and Paci. You couldn't tell the difference. My nation would do routine patrols in the same areas.

Lastly, my patrolling destroyer is well within my coastal defense network... as is Singapore.

OOC: IC I don't care if it is your waters, it was the posession of our closest and only ally, we know you want it, and we know you are trying something.

Its like as if the UK fell apart, and france had had its eyes on the islands, and had a ship in the channel. USA would tell france to back down.

IC: We note that the Republic of Tanis is still maintaining a position overly close to singapore, a mere 8 miles form shore, and we request strongly, that this ship is moved to at least 12 miles away, and that no tanisian ship nor plane come closer than 12 nautical miles to Singapore.

OOC: Well I don't care if you want to watch it... but the classified is only one ship. I have ships routinely pass right on by. However, 8 miles is still within the strait of Singapore... and patrolling a very narrow strait isn't really productive for a destroyer. And I should have rephrased the distances... since after a quick review on Google Earth, 8 miles lands me in the Strait of Singapore... and where I wanted to be was at the eastern end of the strait which is 40 miles away. As for the aircraft... they weren't over the destroyer, but nearby.

Just because I made a thread about taking over Singapore, doesn't mean that you can be tipped off. I all know too well what electronic intelligence does, which is why I resort to hand-written or typed messages that are printed off and then sent. I know... it's ineffient, but it's the greatest countermeasure against it until I research more on electronic intelligence. I suspect, that it's not as all powerful.

IC: We cannot comply with your request... you cannot tell us what to do in our airspace and our waters. Our destroyer is just passing by and will not be there for long. And we have no aircraft within miles of Singapore.

TNS Kerki -

The captain in charge of the vessel continued his patrol route in the Strait of Singapore. However, with the mass of commercial ships in the strait, they couldn't turn around. So they continued their course eastward to the mouth of the strait 34 miles away and turn southward, patrol near the mouth Strait of Singapore. They would then patrol per revised orders encased in an envelope.

The routine AWACS aircraft patrol was about 70 miles east of Singapore, with a commanding view of all approach routes towards the Strait of Singapore. They would be refueled once before a new AWACS patrol would come.

***AC Protectorate Burma***

A sleek Learjet landed at the local Rangoon airfield, where the TEF was stationed at. As usual, there was a flurry of activity, but mainly transport jets coming in and out, taking Tanisian troops back to Tanis. A man with a briefcase made his way to the headquarters. He came to the offices of three different brigades and handed them a simple message. Then he went to an combat aviation brigade and handed them the same paper.

*TANISIAN SUMATRA COMMAND*

*UPCOMING ASSAULT OPERATIONS*

Tanisian Command has ordered you to prepare for upcoming operations towards the city and island of Singapore. You have been briefed on such an operation before when you came to Burma. We'll still following the operation outline detailed a couple months earlier. If you don't have the file, we have sent a backup with the man who gave you this letter. The codename is Malacca and shall commence within the next 24 hours.

Burn after reading.

On the tarmac, sat nearly 20 of the 33 planes that would be part of the upcoming airborne operation on Singapore. The planes only arrived within the last 12 hours and troops of the 94th Airborne Brigade were being loaded into the planes. The other 13 were scheduled to arrive within a few hours. (C-17 Globemaster IIIs).

Members of the 1st and 2nd Light Infantry Brigades were already enroute to waiting ship transports that was actually helping the troop withdrawal operations in Burma. These ships were leaving for a course for Tanis within a few hours... but were reordered at the last minute to head for Singapore.

Air wings all across Sumatra were already in emergency standby due to DEFCON 1. And completed portions of the new coastal defense network on Sumatra was on high alert.

In the depths of the Admiralty, new orders were drafted for the vessels Hansa, Invincible, Gladius and Lorica. Instead of their routine patrol of the gulf, they would travel west, putting in at Jakarta for refuelling and refitting. this was as much a training exercise for the new crews as anything else, as the narrow straits of the Republic of Tanis were ideal for training the seamen.

C-17 Globemaster IIIs taxing onto Runaway preparing for departure

As usual in Rangoon, Burma, dozens of C-17 Globemaster IIIs were arriving and departing as usual. All of them had a heading for Sumatra... however a group of C-17s would continue to fly. Then their course would take them over most of Sumatra before turning eastward towards Singapore. This would take them about 3 hours.

Meanwhile at sea... a group of landing ships steamed their way down the Strait of Malacca towards Singapore. They had one frigate amongst them... but aerial reinforcements would be available at a moments notice.

At the east end of the Strait of Singapore... the TNS Merki started to block the strait and thus closing the strait off to all traffic. All traffic would be redirected some 850 miles east to the nearest navigable strait. Several minelayers disguised as large fishing vessels started to mine the entrance of the Strait of Singapore.

The Tanisians were not happy they got not accepting into the conference up in Japan.

Off the Coast of Banda Aceh, Indonesia

They had been warned. Imperial Intelligence showed the Tanisians giving the metaphorical finger to Imperial request. the Southern Fleet now stood just outside Tanisian territorial waters, facing down the city of Banda Aceh. Aircraft were getting prepped for launch, and all hands were on battle stations

Singapore

The Imperial Task fleet arrived in Singapore harbors in the early morning. They had bybassed the single ship that the lowly Tanisians had sent to block the area, and sensor data coming in from Sendai, Yokohama and the Oita did not concur with the visual of the fishing fleet. Imperial Fighters and choppers would be making routine flights over Singapore as the fleet now waits in the harbor.

Final Warning to Republic of Tanis

Your actions are not hidden well enough. Stand down your forces now and await the Kharbarovsk Meeting to decide the fate of UFE territory or face the consequences of your aggression

OOC: Unless you have more plane and men in Singapore... you only have naval superiority... which ain't saying much. Plus, being bigger is moot if your going offensive on me or IRL. And if your gonna cite tech difference... on LVN's tech scale (which you may or may not follow) only puts me a couple years behind you... hardly a superior enemy.

Banda Aceh

The large array of transport planes that were flying back to Tanis from Burma easily saw the approaching Neo Japanese fleet and alerted Tanisian Air Command. Within minutes, sorties of planes rose into the air. Equipped with varying torpedoes and anti-ship missiles, they showed early domination in air superiority. AWACS and airborne battle command was online within 15 minutes. Several F-22s with electronic jamming equipment and scramblers were also aloft to counter any missile threats.

On the ground various moblie anti-ship RGM-84 missile launchers were on full alert. The few stationary anti-air and anti-ship missile covering Banda Aceh stockpiled enough missiles to deal with any significant threats, not to mention the Patriot missile batteries scattered nearby. At closer ranges, 16" guns would open fire.

Singapore

The AWACS craft stationed out in front of the eastern entrance of the Singapore Strait picked up the approaching fleet. The AEGIS capable destroyer nearby also picked up the fleet. The nearby air bases were alerted and F-22s the were equipped with electronic/radar jamming equipment rose to the air to counter missile threats. A E-3 Sentry airborne command plane also tagged along to track and target enemy airborne targets.

The 16" guns on the Tanisian island at the mouth of the Strait of Singapore opened fire with warning shots. As well, the mobile anti-air and anti-ship missile batteries found on all the islands could have picked away at the fleet from 150 nm... but decided not to... since they could decimated the fleet in the very narrow fleet.

Unknowning to the Neo Japanese fleet, we supplied the area with Canada's Mach 6 missile supplied from Dragonsia about a month earlier. The torpedo launchers were constructed on several locations to cover Singapore in such an event.

And lastly... Tanis dispatched the classified Vaule nuclear submarine in the our nation to the developing situation... this is was done earlier to cover a potential conflict.

*Dispatch to the Neo Japanese*

I highly suggest that you back down, your two fleets cannot handle the entire might of the Tanisian Armed Forces. We know you do not have your whole army or navy here. While we may not have a huge navy... the close proximity to easy access to our the entire arsenal of our armed forces is enough to sink both your fleets into the deep blue ocean. We suggest you turn around and sail away... for if you don't you won't have a fleet that goes back to Neo Japan.

//private to Tanis

"We can direct two aircraft carriers help. Palau has always had a naval presence to secure the trade, and the carrier battlegroups are open if you need it.

We're already redirecting a larger-than-normal sized naval fleet that way. Our own borders are well defended."

//public

"We're sending a larger naval group to the Palau Economic Zone. That's all."

The simple fact you have first upon the Japanese leads Glorious Aotearoa to declare War upon the Republic of Tanis.

We shall have you back down or crushed.

***Movements***

The first and second fleets have steamed around the north of australia.

Each fleet has one Carrier as well as five Supercruisers and two Interdictors. From the knowledge of the weaponry and systems available to the tanisians, Aotearoan ships would stay out of direct engagement range from fixed defenses, keeping islands between the fleet and all known launchers of the Canadian missiles. Mach six made for quick kills but no maneuverability.

They were holding a position in the south china sea out of range of the fixed weapons of the Tanisians.

YF-45 strike bombers staging out of ex-UFE airfields combined with Interceptor X's form the carriers provided air cover, while the fleet sat in stealth mode, with only passive EM sensors, and electronics blackout.

BattleNet was running at 75% of max capacity, and was being worked on for total warfare. The tanisians, with their outdated technology would be no match.

OOC: As tanis only has tech share treaties with a pair of 1600 tech nations, I will consider any and all hardware he uses to be at a 1225 tech level. This includes all fixed defenses / purchased weaponry.

OOC: No... not recogized as it is. Fleets without prior movements is blant godmodding, good day sir.

OOC: failure to recognize war is grounds for automatic surrender and forfeit of your territory and spot on the map

Imperial Air superiority was guaranteed at Banden Aceh, as the first of Imperial fighters hit the air, and more were coming in from the Indian Economic Zone. the ATD-X fighters easily outmatched the outdated F-22. Scrambling equipment from the fleet and Imperial cyber teams began creating a defensive structure around the fleet.

meanwhile, Troops were already being landed in Singapore via aircraft, protected by squadrons of fighters, some even by ship

Final Warning to Tanis

Give Diplomacy a chance. The Kharbarovsk meeting is still going, and we have personally vouched for your control over Singapore. Do not make a mistake you will be forced to regret

OOC: failure to recognize legitimate war is grounds for automatic surrender and forfeit of your territory and spot on the map

a navy appearing out of nowhere and intelligence he doesn't have is godmodding, not legitimate
