The UFE, having designed Dragonisia's F-60's, have relayed the full technical data to Tahoe, allowing a number of design flaws to be exploited. Dragonisia's rookie pilots make, well, rookie mistakes in dealing with Tahoe's pilots, which have fought almost constant battles in the air for the past few years against some of the worlds strongest nations. India remains quivering under the unending missile assault from Tahoe and the UFE, with thousands of targets being destroyed. The roads are impassible, trains burn in their stations, large petrol depots are raging infernoes, and every single runway in Dragonisian India is has been turned to swiss cheese by hundreds of missile strikes. The constant strikes also make it impossible for repairs to be done, as every time an attempt it made, more missile strikes occur. Dragonisia's fighters have nowhere to land or take off from. Satellites track their movements, following them back to previously unknown locations, allowing those bases to be destroyed in turn. And across India, small forces of Tahoe's elite Army Rangers, the Fiannoglach, raid and burn targets of opportunity before melting back into the jungle. *** Message to Dragonisia*** Unclassified Any attempt to make use of a weapon of mass destruction upon the people of Tahoe will result in a nuclear holocaust. That was back in what, November? Furthermore, you can't say that every runway'd been destroyed; that's not letting him RP his casualties. Also known as God-Modding. Thousands of destroyed targets also implies thousands of missiles, so unless you intend on being a hypocrite you might want to inform Triyun that 5000 missiles and 5 Submarine divisions is, in fact, not ridiculous. Not recognized, who are you to assign my pilots a particular level of expertise. They have engaged in conflict and are very familiar with the limitations of their aircraft. You have taken no combat losses from your first attack posting. You are God-Moding. The Dragonisian air force knows full well the limitations of its weapons platforms and adapt to the known flaws of the aircraft. The battle is very challenging to the Dragonisian Airforce, but it's better than being under supplied and undermanned, which means the Tahoan assault would run otu of steam shortly. Tiamat missiles are being fired in support of the airforce and 3 more of their F-60'S go down, 3 more inferior Bahamut Fighters join the air battle from a nearby airfield. They are approximately 2008 aircraft equivalents and were the fighters retired as the F-60s were brought into service. A few bombers do get through the forward perimeter defenses. India remains quivering under the unending missile assault from Tahoe and the UFE, with thousands of targets being destroyed. Fafnirs enter orbit and attempt to kill kill Tahoe satellites covering India. India was becoming a mess due to the attacks, but that would compare nothing to the strike the UFE and its airbases just received. The Tahoan forces would be returning to discover they had no airfields to land on. With the airfields in India taking damage, roads nearby were rapidly sealed off and converted into airstrips.. equipment moved. And across India, small forces of Tahoe's elite Army Rangers, the Fiannoglach, raid and burn targets of opportunity before melting back into the jungle. The rangers would not be able to get into Dragonisia as the transports are relatively easily shot down by Tiamat AA missiles before they can even reach airspace. These aircraft would encounter a massive casualty rate against "The Porcupine of the Pacific." OOC: It only takes on missile to destroy many targets if used correctly. Large cruise missiles carry hundreds of bomblets. Also, most of the targets have been destroyed with attacks by bombers, and bombers carry dozens of bombs. Furthermore, RPing casualties does not include ignoring hit targets. If I attack every airfield in the region, every airfield in the region has been hit. He has no way of defending against missile attacks, after all (no SDI or missile defense improvements in game). IC: Tahoe's air force continues to pound Dragonisia's defenses. While engaging their fighters, other squadrons ran ground attack missions engaging the anti-air defenses pathetically trying to drive them away. Here though, real damage was done to Tahoe's pilots. With daring low level attacks on gun and missile platforms, the first real casualties were taken, with a few aircraft being shot down. However, the Tahoan Air Force continues to outnumber the Dragonisian Air Force, and combined with their superior equipment, keep the intense pressure up. The message goes out to the UFE for their fighter corps to join the attack. On the east coast of India, the paratroopers that landed begin making their way inland after securing their beachhead. For 25 miles inland, the coastal regions surrounding the city of Pondicherry have been taken, with the city itself surrounded. There has been no resistance on the ground so far, and complete air superiority over the region held by the Tahoan troops has been achieved, as Dragonisia's fighters are strong enough to hold the line against Tahoe's Air Force, but not to make any headway offensively. Another 30,000 Tahoan troops are due to be deployed from the UFE within the hour, followed up by more later. Artillery and rockets pound the city. It will be the first to fall. SOSUS, which is a hydrophone net designed to listen for oceanic anomalies, would think think they're just migrating whales.## Considering that these 'international' waters formed part of Glorious Aotearoan EEZ, and that the Aotearoan SOSUS net was sensitive enough to hear the engine noise over the poorly imitated whale broadcast, old IW sea-floor defense systems came active, and barrages of torpedoes were fired at the seacrawlers. ConsideringA: The declaration of war against our ally, the UFE, B: The trespass of military hardware through our exclusion zone in violation of our standing policy that no non allied military is to pass through it We are forced to consider military action unless Dragonisia can explain this. *Movements* The 3 Carriers, 15 Supercruisers and 6 Interdictors in the northern patrol area turned and started moving towards Tasmania. They were to resupply in New Caledonia, and meet up with transports carrying 5 divisions. In New Cal, divisions I through V were loaded onto to the transports that had brought them here when the island had been retaken from those moles. They were heavy mechanized divisions with tank and self propelled gun support. One of the carriers was designated a 'bomber' carrier, and carried the heavy guns of the strike force, the Titans Fist stealth bombers, and the supersonic YF-45 strike bomber / standoff fighter. The other two carriers carried a 80/20 mix of Interceptor X air to air fighters and Weasel II air to air and air to ground attack planes. The CAP consisted of 4 Interceptor X's with 6 Air to Air missiles each, and a single YF-45 configured for stand off air to air with 32 long range (150 mile range) air to air missiles which lurked about 130 miles behind the fighters. With their realtime data integration, the YF-45 could use either data from the Interceptor X's or the naval radars to target enemies. The Supercruisers maintained stealth profile, as their railguns would not be needed until they came in range, and the laser defense turrets had a stealthy profile even when ready for use. They were charged up, and readied. The Interdictors were running at 150 knots, slightly higher than the fleet cruise speed, allowing them to scout out the area with their powerful radar and sonar packages, and with realtime data transmission from the sea floor defenses and SOSUS grid, any incoming ships, submarines or attacks would be picked up with plenty of time for interception / evasion. Ooc: Slavorussia keeps about 5,000 soldiers, a dozen tanks and a squadron of aircraft in both countries as part of the peaceful independence negotiations. These soldiers, numbering 7,700 in total, have been sneaked past the border into wartorn Dragonisian India. Each soldier is equipped with a low energy FoF (Friend or Foe) beacon, identifying them to Tahoe and UFE forces as friendly. "Hey, someone finally remembered us!" yelled one of the soldiers. Their commanding officer stepped into the room. "Boy, pack up, we're moving out!" "What? Are we being invaded again?" "No, but things in the south are getting pretty hot. A lot of troops are moving to the border to keep the peace. Now move out!" The order went through several bases across the country. 20,000 active troops and reserves moved to the border with IndoChina with orders to only fire if fired upon, and not to do anything stupid. Then with overwhelming might, the forces of Tahoe, UFE, and others are fighting a war. There has been enough blood shed in these recent conflict... we do not endorse a suspected missile attack, but a war that seems to have no diplomatic problem solving has lead to another war.
