Pronci Konnor David Saucedo will succeed the Crimean thrown once Empress Stephanie Carbon steps down.

After a long debate, eldest son of Empress Stephanie Carbon, Konnor David Saucedo, will be named Heir of the Crimean Thrown next week in a massive ceremony. An HCT hasn't been named since Emperor Neal Carbon (Saucedo's great-grandfather) was named HCT by his father, Emperor Erik Carbon.

Heavily armed police have taken to the streets in Rostovi Corner as security in the capitol is heightened.

Both Marcus and Stephanie Carbon (the last two rulers of Crimea Iso) were not named heirs. They became Emperor/Empress by de facto. Pronci Saucedo actually has an older sister whom is engaged to a Neu Osean prince. An heir had to be named other than her. If no heir was named, she'd become Empress by de facto and her fiance would gain part of the Crimean Empire. To keep the country within the Carbon bloodline, Saucedo was named HCT.

We see. Still, our point stands. It is better to have a line of succession, or risk chaos if and when the ruler dies or abdicates.
