Leykk
My friend introduced me to this game yesterday. Immediately afterward I wanted to register but he explained to me the whole 2 nations on the same IP policy. Today I tried to register on my network at home, and I was unable to. When my friend logged on yesterday to check his nation on my laptop we were in a hotel in Orlando. Now, having been told about the IP rule I decided to hold off on registering myself until I returned home today (Ft. Lauderdale). My question is.. will I not be able to register myself an account being that he checked his account yesterday on the same computer? I understand the IP address policy, but it seems a shame for this to happen as he was only checking his nation and now he peaked my interest in this game. I also understand that should I be able to register I would be unable to interact with his nation in any way whatsoever. Anything I can do? -Leykk
Carter
It's pretty much up to the staff team's discretion; you should hear from them soon.
Delta1212
The IP is all that matters. If you log on from a separate location, the computer used doesn't matter. Conversely, if you log on from two different computers on the same IP, you can't have multiple nations.
raskull
So he logged into his nation, using your laptop, from a hotel in Orlando. Now you want to create a new nation with your laptop from home in Ft. Lauderdale. In this case there is no problem. You would've had a different IP address in Orlando. As long as he hasn't logged in from your home in Ft. Lauderdale you're good. Edit: Bah... Delta1212 beat me. Leykk
That was what I had thought too, but after attempting to register at home today I had the following message show up. Multiple nations controlled by the same player is not allowed and it appears that you already have an account with Cyber Nations. If you do not remember your user name or password you can have it sent to you.
enderland
As far as I know, as long as you two never interact in game you will be fine. Though if he checked it on your computer in a hotel you have nothing to worry about as you will most likely never access that IP ever again and so long as your friend doesn't use CN on the IP address you register on (your home) you should be ok. If it says you are banned I'm guessing you use AOL for your internet provider?
Delta1212
AOL could also explain it saying you already have an account. If so, I recommend a better ISP. Barring that, try again later.
Leykk
Negative on the ISP, I use Bellsouth. I'll give it a shot again later today.
