Gebiv
Message As you may be aware, we sent 337 Rebel Virginians to your nation. They conducted a small raid on a village on our border. Half of their numbers died in the attack. They made it over into your lands, and started firing RPGs at civilian complexes. Our snipers picked them off. No damage, except to those combatants. We have requested permission to attack the remaining survivors from above. All damage to your territory in these attacks will be paid for, if any damage. We have not engaged you at this time, and your soldiers that are dead have been killed by this Virginian Mob. My soldiers have orders to only engage if engaged. The Virginians are currently hiding out in your territory, and are preparing to strike again. Rest assured, this is not an attack on your nation by any means. Mirreille
Operators on the joint liason circuit soon picked up the chatter from the Gebivan Group Nord Commands, and forwarded them to the appropriate officers. Eventually General Dubois, the Deputy Minister of Defense was reached, as being the Deputy meant he didn't get to sleep at night. "What is all this nonsense?" "We aren't sure sir, though it seems some sort of combat has occured, or is ongoing somewhere on the Schwiiz border. Nothing major, though it seems Gebiv has mobilised a few units at least. What should we do?" "Have they asked us for reinforcements?" "No Sir, but we had discussed deploying some of our troops that way in regards to the Vektarian maneuvers. maybe we should just go ahead with that?" The General pondered a few moments. "Vektaria. First they move their forces into the area, and now we have an 'incident'. 10-1 they will be claiming it was Gebiv's fault, you watch. Yes, you had best get some troops moving just in case, Tell Major General Germaine to move his hedquarters, and we will send the units that we will assign to him soonest." "One other thing General. There are numerous mentions of 'Rebel Virginians' in the Gebiv reports, thought I can't fathom what that is about. Does that mean anything to you?" "No, I can't imagine what that means, see if you can get Gebiv Command and get a report as to what they think is going on. Inform them of our movements as well. Now I just have to decide what to send...." ***coded to Gebiv Military Command*** Three mountain divisions have been mobilised and are en-route to reinforce the Schwiiz border region. They are being deployed to Torino for now, please advise on further movements. Defcon for the Paca Region has also been raised to level 4. Rebel Virginia
Mäder, Austria, Vektaria - It appeared that the Gebivians had not yet responded to the attacks on Kriessern from across the river. Taking advantage of this the Rebel Virginians throw Molotov $@tails on the field, setting it aflame. The smoke from the fire would cloud the area enough to prevent Gebivians on the other side of the river from getting clear shots at the RPGs, while the Rebel Virginians would continue to fire blindly. Surely they would hit something.
Gebiv
There was a reason the Gebivians were waiting. Mannelig had finally arrived. He brought 200,000 troops with him. Taking advantage of the lack of Vektarian civilians in the area, they fused long range acoustic devices to disarm the Virginians. While the weapon was nonlethal when used for a few seconds, the Gebivians stood back, and fired it for minutes on end, until the Virginians were either dead or ran out of range. (Range is 300m)

(Range is 300m) Unfortunately the Rebel Virginians had forgotten to bring something to cover their ears, and were forced to flee. Ten refused to leave and died. The remainders were going to have a headache for sometime. They could only wonder why the Gebivians set off such a device so close to a Vektarian village, and could only pray for Gebiv's sake that no citizens were harmed. Gebiv
Seeing them retreat, the Gebivians ceased firing. Given the range they put it on, the local civilians would be completely unharmed. 150 were left to kill. Unfortunately, only one person with a tracking device in him was still alive. Rebel Virginia
OOC: Gebiv, my people were right next to village. Less than 100 ft away from the nearest houses.
Gebiv
OOC: I didn't use max range on that thing. The local civilians would have noticed a noise, but nothing affecting their sensory orientation.
Rebel Virginia
OOC: Vektor can RP how it affects his citizens. I was just clarifying where my men were. Anyway, I'll post my next attack shortly. I have a paper I need to get started on in the meantime.
Malatose
The random fire fights on the border had ended for now, but Vektarian troops were still in their defensive positions on high alert. General Lente's prayers of no war seemed to have been answered. However, another incident soon occured in a small village close to the border regions. Various parents were bringing in their small children. These children were complaining of headaches and various degrees of nausea. Some adults were even complaining of these symptons. While they didn't seemed to be fatal, most were being kept in a special quaratine. In response the entire village was locked down, and most were beginning to suspect the unexpected, a possible chemical attack. Vektarian troops in the area began to evacuate the village in an orderly fashion, although there were small bouts of panic, which resulted in the death of a couple elderly citizens. The Vektarian High Command, along with Autarch Scolar Visari kept their calm as the news began to come in. What was going on? The battles on the border had subsided but now the enemy was possibly attacking with chemical weapons? The Military was again put on stand-by for possible actions, as Scolar Visari weighed the decisions in his head.
Rebel Virginia
Lustenau, Austria, Vektaria - Milk Man and his Merry Men, as they were now known, moved five miles up the Rhine River into the town of Lustenau. Just across the river was the Swiss village of Haslach. This would be where they made their final, decisive stand against the Gebivians. Several RPGs were fired at the bridge connecting the nearby town of Au to Lustenau. This would force the Gebivians to have to cross the river, where gunfire from the Rebel Virginians would massacre them. To draw their attention to the town fire from the AK-47s and RPGs was focused on the town of Hasblach. Victory was near. Glory was certain. Gebiv
Their clever plan was not as clever as they thought. The Virginians were outnumbered by snipers hiding in and near the village. 200 of Gebiv's finest snipers, to be exact, were waiting for such an attack. To the sniper's advantage, they had a much longer range than the Virginians. Anything that fired a weapon was instantly shot. Seeing their comrades fall to the ground, would the Virginians retreat? Meanwhile, the villagers were all alive. Some had some serious injuries, and others had lost a few Gebivian Ounces in Property damage, but they were alive. A message was sent to Rebel Virginia: Your citizens have engaged in terrorist attacks against us. We will expect reparations.
Rebel Virginia
The fifty surviving Rebel Virginians retreated into Lustenau, firing at all Vektarian citizens they saw. The few who still possess RPGs fired into buildings. A few Molotov $@tails were left, and were used to set fire to cars. "Lemuria prevails!" Milk Man cried. *Official to Response to Gebiv* <uncontrollable laughter> Edited February 2, 2009 by Rebel Virginia
Gebiv
The Gebivians did not pursue. Whatever damage Rebel Virginia did to their own allies was of no concern. However, all 220,000 forces in the area were ready, just in case. *Message to Rebel Virginia* You know that attacks on another nation qualify as declarations of war. We'd hate to see you attacked by all of the treaties that would be activated.
