Is that...? OH GOD IT IS! THEY USED THE MACHINE GUN ON HIM! Oh god...there's fires everywhere...people screaming...somebody's blood just hit the window...they found the camera! They destroyed the camera...oh god... We need help! Send help...anybody! It's..it's getting worse by the minute...where are those men from Saboria?! Lynneth Posted February 1, 2009 Report Share Posted February 1, 2009 Only an hour after this latest broadcast, the men from Saboria would arrive in the planes. While they were indeed inspectors to watch, they were indeed armed with standard Saborian equipment, for security reasons. The Chairman didn't want to risk losing these men, so they were fully armed and armored while still being officially neutral and only there to watch - unless fired upon. A quick glance onto his namebadge on the shoulder would reveal his name as 'Alexander Verdt' "You wouldn't happen to have a helicopter that we could borrow? We forgot to bring one or two." Meanwhile, several men boarded the APCs, in a quite military fashion.. The rest of the soldiers dispersed slightly, using thermal goggles, binoculars and various other means to observe the immediate area for anything suspicious. What are we going to do about the hostile communist takeover?" Asks General Orlandu. "Don't worry, I have a plan. But first, I need to know who your four best soldiers are." "I can have their names on your desk in ten minutes, sir." "Good. I'm setting up a diversionary force that will give your men time to infiltrate the USB and verify the situation. Perhaps they'll meet this Michael Ellis we've been hearing from." "Mr. President! Do you have a plan for invasion if it turns out this communist takeover is as bad as it seems?" Asked Press Secretary Wiegraf. "I'd like to believe things aren't that bad there. As the USB used to be our ally, I don't want to have to use force in this incident. However, if we have to fight to solve this, we will. I will not allow extremists to endanger the general populace." The Chiefs of Staff grumbled at that last comment. It seemed the country wants to avoid all-out war, but would rather quell the situation before anything serious happens. ---10 minutes later--- On his desk, President Claudio found a manila envelope containing the profiles of the four most elite soldiers in the BRA. With these, President Claudio had his task force. They would infiltrate USB along with the last of the USB citizens being sent back from the BRA, while at the same time a force of 2000 soldiers with 300 tanks will roll up to the border and demand that the Communist leader accompany them to the BRA for a private conference with President Claudio to discuss the communist takeover. The infiltration team will then break through customs and disable communications with the rest of the country, then try to find Michael Ellis. "Excellent. We shall begin the operation at 0600." "Failure of cooperation will result in the use of force..." But it was not heard, as Wullf was already in the car and driving away. Verdt shrugged and moved to one of the APCs. While roughly 15 of the men would wait for additional planes - spy- and observation-planes - to arrive, the rest were in the APCs. One of the vehicle began driving towards the military base Wullf had mentioned, while the others began driving to the nearest population centre to investigate. Roughly an hour afterwards, four planes landed. Three were normal observation planes, however...The last one was equipped with slightly heavier equipment. One of the APCs stopped and several men walked out of it, to question the people if it really was as bad as Ellis always described. The soldiers also prepared for possible strikes from hostile soldiers, while the AC-130 turned on the ground to give artillery-support whereever needed. *Meanwhile, a statement from the Saborian Government* "This broadcast of Mr. Ellis - in which we witnessed his demise by the hands of Kai Wullf - proves that the government of the USB has abandoned all communistic and socialistic ideals, having turned itself into a dictatorial state which apparently slaughters its own people. We can and will not tolerate this. Should no other country intervene, we will do so and depose of the USB government. We demand the USB government to stand down. Otherwise, force will be used." They had cameras with them, to tape the proof of what these people said. _____________ "A voice such as the one Ellis had in the broadcast cannot be faked. Our psychologists are very sure that his voice was filled with true fear, fear for his life, in these last moments. And it is too similar to the one from the previous broadcasts. That aside, there is absolutely no need to kill capitalists for their economic procedures. The worst that should be done is encouraging them to leave the country, but killing them? Outrageous! Either you stand down immediately, or we will authorise the men currently in your country to establish a beachhead for anyone who wishes to stop this killing." As such we see death as the only option. As stated before, we will never stand down, and our citizens remain loyal to us. We think that maybe Saboria has overstepped it's boundaries. If this so-called beachhead succeeds, then our military will have no choice but to return fire. We encourage Saboria to overlook it's decisions." Phytoon Posted February 2, 2009 Report Share Posted February 2, 2009 **0600 hours the next day** **The Secret Part** Four special operatives of the BRA codenamed: Adelie, Rockhopper, Snares, and King are riding in a covered truck along with a hundred or so refugees huddled together in the cold. They are riding towards the southern border of USB to enter the customs building. Upon leaving the truck, they will capture the building with weapons they have hidden underneath their ragged clothing. **The Public Part** A combat force of 2000 soldiers and 300 tanks approaches the western border of USB, demanding that Kai Wullf accompany them to the BRA because President Claudio has requested a private audience with him. They expect a hostile greeting because of their outrageous demand, and also to cover up the infiltration by the covert force. **0700 hours, USB Western Border** Commander Gafgarion takes a look at his men, making sure they were all in position before climbing to the top of the tank he was in to make his announcement. The forces which had come to meet them did not seem adequate to pose a serious threat, so he grabbed the bullhorn and addressed them. "Attention USB! We come on behalf of the Borderland Republic of Antarctica, to request that your leader accompany us back to our country." The USB forces didn't seem to react at all, just stood there looking at the BRA forces. "I'll repeat--" "There's no need to repeat" Came the reply from one of the soldiers. "We have nothing to say to you Capitalist pigs." "Very well, if that's how you'll have it." Commander Gafgarion nodded to his gunner, who fired a warning shot in front of the USB forces. "We're ready to invade if necessary. Your leader is under suspicion of crimes against humanity, and we will bring him forth to explain his actions if you won't." "You think you can scare us with threats of violence? You will bring us global support if you attack us. Go ahead and show the world how violent your mindset is. We are ready to die for our motherland." **Meanwhile, at customs** "Snares, get the C4 ready." The operatives had exited the truck and were entering the customs building amidst the swath of refugees. They were about to reach the primary security screening. The comms room was upstairs, and they would have to clear two large security rooms before reaching the stairs in the back. "Got it King. Ready when you are." They proceeded as normal as far as possible until they reached the metal detectors. They all went through them at the same time, setting off the alarms and causing three guards to come over. "Empty your pockets!" one of them shouted. The team looked at each other, then opened their coats, revealing a small arsenal of weapons, easily enough to utterly destroy this building. "Holy--" Aidelie quickly shot the three guards with an M1911, then got two more that turned around after hearing the shots. "Snares, now!" Snares threw the C4 across the room, nailing another guard in the back of the head, then detonating it, blowing a hole in the next security checkpoint. The four took off running for the opening, shooting the guards that remained and hadn't fully reacted yet. Before they were able to raise the alarm, the team had made it to the stairs leading to the comm room. Rockhopper took out his shotgun and took point going up the stairs. At the top, they found a group of five guards waiting for them. Rockhopper managed to take out three of them with a flurry of shots, but they had opened fire on him the instant he showed up. As he fell back down the stairs, King jumped over him in a dive, firing his STG-77 as he flew through the air and killing the last two guards. "Rock! King, Rockhopper's down!" Cried Adelie. Blood pooled under Rockhopper as he shouted his disbelief. "Snares, what can you do for him?" Asked King. Snares knelt next to Rockhopper and saw at least fifteen bullet holes. There was no way to save him, and his face showed it. The fact he was alive long enough to scream was unbelievable. "I'm sorry, King. He's gone." "I see. We have to move on. Our mission's success is dependent on disabling their comms!" They reached the comm room and threw three High Explosive grenades, leaving no doubt that the radios had been destroyed. As he said this, one other soldier was calling for the Panzer Mk. 9's to come, and one or two started appearing next to the gate. _______ "Once they became capitalists, they were no longer innocent. As to the reports your men are giving, it appears that they are fabricating everything. Should you attempt to take any USB citizen out of the country, then it will be declared an act of war. This fear, of the new government and its atrocities? The sadness and grief because they have lost family? No, such emotions cannot be faked. Even the greatest actors cannot fake such powerful emotions. We will still send the planes. If you are a free country, you will let those who want to go, leave. If you are not a free country, yet claim yourself to be communist, then we can safely say that there will no longer be a need for being courteous." Soon after this announcement, several transport planes began taking off - filled with Saborian soldiers, some even with APCs and tanks. Meanwhile, the soldiers from the APCs began establishing a perimeter where they could defend themselves until the reinforcements were there. Kai takes patrols further by adding tanks to them. IC: As the soldiers begin to set up the perimeter, they hear a rumbling noise. The citizens begin to shout "They are coming! We must flee for our lives!" As they begin to run, a Tiger tank rolls down the street, with several USB soldiers riding on it and walking beside it. "There are the traitors! Shoot them!" Through a megaphone, the commander of the Saborian soldiers shouted: "USB forces. Cease fire and stand down immediately. We will take you and your government as prisoners for crimes against humanity. Resistance will be dealt with swiftly." The Saborians readied their weapons, standard equipment: AISR.4 rifles, anti-tank weaponry, machine guns and, of course, the lightly armed but decently armoured APCs, mostly for use against infantry. The tank also begins turning slowly towards the Saborians, the barrel aimed for the APC... The Saborian officer responded by shouting, "Fascist swines!" Meanwhile, the soldiers opened fire on the hostile forces, machine guns concentrating on the infantry, while two rocket launchers aimed at the weak points of the tank - The connection between turret and the rest - and fired when the launchers confirmed a lock-on. Similarly, the APC fires on the enemy infantry, though they all try to not hit the men who converted to the Saborian side. Meanwhile the video of this event, as the USB hunted the civilians and then opened fire on the Saborians, was broadcast live on a world-wide newschannel of Saboria (Similar to CNN or NBC).
