Narmer Posted January 19, 2009 Report Share Posted January 19, 2009 So, I'm attempting to register an IRC nick, to no avail. I've made sure that I'm using the right syntax, and I enter all the correct info; they even email me the auth code. Yet when I enter the command the command they send me: /msg NickServ AUTH 234835262 says incorrect password, (yes I'm sure that's the right one im not crazy and can copy/paste) Then I try and identify like always; msg nickserv identify pword; it says I'm not authorized. enderland Posted January 19, 2009 Report Share Posted January 19, 2009 Try reregistering and then immediately pasting the message in. My guess is you registered a different nick than you think you did, so the authentication code isn't working because you no longer have the registered nick when you try to authenticate it.
