Two new Katana Class frigates, the INS Akikaze and INS Hayate , and 2 new carriers, the INS Soryu and INS Mizuho have been added to the current Navy. The INS Mizuho is a new class of Carrier being introduced into the Imperial Naval service. The carrier is a Divine Class carrier. General Pavel Zvereva, Provincial General of Enkaido, has concentrated troops on the Shillan and Northern Empire Borders. Comparatively, only a small reinforcement has been sent to bolster UFE border guards. Lord Frost
Imperial Guard Infantry readying for deployment; Borders Continue to stay shut down Rumors from the Imperial Guard HQ claim that the Imperial Guard Infantry, the Empire's elite special ops soldiers, are preparing for deployment. There is no evidence to suggest that these rumors are true, and the Ministry of War is flat out denying any truth to such rumors Meanwhile, the war in Europe continues to rage on. the Imperial Armed Forces, from the Army to the Air Force, to the Naval Service, are at full readiness, and are prepared to be deployed to aid our allies in the West. The Emperor continues to keep the Empire out of war, however, until, which he claims, "a legitimate reason to cancel the Empire's NAP with Greater Nordland can be found, or until another party declares war against the Empire or her Allies" Borders in all corners of the Empire remain closed to outside nations while the War in Europe rages and the Empire maintains neutrality. Several members of the Green Party as well as Liberal and Conservative parties have already petitioned the Royal Court to lift the closure, stating that the closing is detrimental to trade and travel. the Royal Court has already refused the Green Party petition, citing that "Imperial Shipping will still go out to those to whom we trade with in the world, and that the Border Close is only detrimental to those warring parties who seek to pass through Imperial territory without expressed permission. Besides, why are you sober?". The Court has yet to review Liberal and Conservative petitions
Lord Frost
Tensions Continue to Rise as Elections Draw Near: Nationalist Party Merges with the Emperor's Party Police continue to be deployed throughout the Greater Tokyo Area as well as up and down Honshu as severe discontent continues to erupt in random acts of violence and rioting. Imperial Officials rest the blame of these riots as due to the extreme overcrowding of the Islands ever since the population was evacuated from Shikoku and Kyushu in order to avoid foreigner rule. Officials also state that the Terrorist group known as "Kyokujitsu" being allowed to move into the Home Islands is also a leading, if not one of THE, major reasons why these riots are occuring. "We can't be 100% sure, but Imperial Psycho-analysts, as well as gauging the general mood, seems to tell us that there is a general sense of betrayal" claims Ougumi Miyagi, a speaker for the Interior Ministry. "There are many nations throughout the Pacific that are actually harboring these terrorists, these enemies of civilization, what's worse is that some of these nations are our friends and allies! We've tried diplomatic contact with no success...There is simply no trust left in the International Community" In further news, the Nationalist Party of Japan has merged into the Emperor's Party, effectively increasing the Emperor's Party control over the Royal Court. Former nationalist Party leaders have put out only a short address as to why, stating that "the Nationalist and Imperial Goals are one in the same, there is no need to stay divided any longer". This has been met with Roaring approval from many without the Empire, especially in Enkaido and Hokkaido, where Imperial support is some of the strongest. Lord Frost
Measure Fails, CPJ's push to end Japanization stopped With Green Party members once again failing to show up for Royal Court, the Communist Party of Japan, now leader of the Royal Court, was left to face the Emperor's party in a heated debate over the continuation of Japanization in overseas territories like Sahklin Oblast, Enkaido, and the Northern Marianas (now including Guam). Without the super-majority in the Court, the CPJ was hard-pressed to even be able to present the issue (the resolution was highly opposed by the Emperor), and found it even harder to garner enough support to force it through. The Resolution, which would have called for the immediate end of Japanization efforts, failed by a vote of 34-22, with a surprising amount of CPJ court members joining the Emperor's Party stance on continued Japanization "The Empire needs Homogeneity, if not on the racial then on the cultural and linguistic level at least" said one EP court member
Lord Frost
Provincial General of Enkaido Leads the Way; Embracing Japanization In a special naming ceremony today, General Pavel Zvereva, head of the armed forces in Enkaido graciously and happily stood before the Imperial Army and citizenry of Enkaido in Khabarovsk* and accepted his Japanese name; Katsutoshi Yuudai. General Yuudai is encouraging all citizens in Enkaido who have joined the armed forces to apply for their Japanese name before joining. As part of the Japanization program, children under the age of 19 are given their japanese name in school, and therefore do not have to apply. Lord Frost
Enkaido Engineering (EE) and Mistubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) Join Forces State-owned companies Enkaido Engineering, a fairly new Technology corporation created by the Imperial Administration a month after acquiring the territory, and Mistubishi Heavy Industries, Neo Japan's leading heavy weapons and large scale construction equipment developer, today signed an agreement which will have both companies pool their resources and efforts into the development of Guam. Guam, once a territory under control of terrorists, is currently under development into as financial, tourist, and naval center. The island has only so far received support from the occupation force, colonists, and the Imperial Administration, but not any of the Imperial Administration's companies. That's changed now, as EE and MHI will be cooperating in developing Guam, and in exchange will be joint running a new research facility to be built on the island. At current projections, Guam is scheduled to be open to the international community in 3 months (rp time)

Lord Frost
Community Building Projects Reach Across Empire It has often been said that Religion is the tool of the Government to keep the peace amongst it's people, and in this case it is true. Today the Emperor granted building rights to the Enkaido Provincial Government (for you readers who don't understand, the equivalent of a state government) to begin construction on 3 major temples across Enkaido; two dedicated to Shinto, one dedicated to Buddhism. The same building rights were granted to the Northern Mariana Provincial Government, who will be building a large Shinto Temple on Guam and a joint Shinto/Buddhist Shrine on Pagan Island (for the troops stationed there). Such construction rights are heralded by the Imperial Administration as the final stages of Japanization, and construction is estimated to be finished 6 months minimum, given fair conditions and no conflict within that period. In further News, the 6th auxillary army, designated participants of the Pacific Corps, have been ordered back to the Empire today for a bit of reprieve before their next Deployment. Small casualties were experienced in the ending of the murderous regime of Tunsheim, and a memorial service is being planned for those lost in the fighting. Many families are pleased to see our troops returning from abroad
Lord Frost
Tokyo Times Reporting... It is with great Horror that the Tokyo Times reports a grievous and heinous crime. Rockport, a once respectable nation, today utterly destroyed, without provocation, the Southern Fleet while in harbor in our supposed friends the Dragon Empire's ports. No apology, no compensation. The Fleet was conducting lawful business in DE territory when Rockport demanded that DKT suspects who were arrested be released from rightful Imperial custody. The fleet refused, and instead demanded that Rockport try to be civil and seek diplomacy instead; a request that was denied. The Southern Fleet now lies at the bottom of the harbors in Dragon Empire, our "friends" who never lifted a finger to deny the barbaric Rockports from slaughtering a Fleet that obstinantly refused to fight. The following vessels have been destroyed, the majority of their crew lost; INS Akikaze - frigate INS Hayate - Frigate INS Ryujo - Carrier INS Nagasaki - Battleship We have recieved reports from the Imperial Naval Service that 3 ships were able to escape the devastation, bearing what survivors there could be found from the remaining ships INS Miyagi - Corvette INS Saitama - Submarine INS Sendai - Submarine No apology or compensation, or even justification has been offered from Rockport, nor has any word come from the Dragon Empire as to why they let this crime be committed in their territory. Grand Admiral Seiji Tokunaga had this to say "As of this moment on, no Rockport vessel, craft, or persons may enter Imperial territory. Doing so will result in immediate and unwarned annihilation. Likewise, no longer will any Imperial citizen, for whatever reason, travel into the South Pacific in its entirety unless strictly for business; Rockport has allied itself with terrorism" "We have discussed the matter with our allies the Triyunicans, and we will be working round the clock to rebuild our fleet. Rockport has been given an official demand for compensation" Imperial Shipyards have been ordered into full production to coincide with allied production in order to maximize production time to rebuild the fleet. Admiral Tokunaga has ordered a complete recall of all abroad military vessels to return to the Empire to defend its territories while this crippling blow can be repaired. In the meantime, no word has come from Tokyo on just what the Empire will do with the Dragon Empire on this very blatant breach of treaty. The only word from the Ministry of International Relations is that the treaty is currently under review More to come... The Philippines was unaware of Neo-Japan's policy of Japanization, especially in regards to the traditionally Malayo-Polynesian islands of the Northern Marianas and Guam. Manila hereby denounces this policy and urges Neo-Japan to take measures at least on Guam to protect the indigenous 'Chmorro' language and culture. Lord Frost
Shimizu Corp releases World's first open ended game Emperor Shocks Empire with controversial Treaty Empire still to enter Transvaal Cup Representatives of the Game and Sports Department inside the Ministry of the Internal have answered the press today in a stunning press conference announcing the Empire's continued participation in the Transvaal World Cup. Many were shocked at this announcement, given the rather icy relationship between Transvaal and the Empire right now. "The Empire has participated in the Transvaal World Cup since it's beginning, and there is no reason to stop playing simply because they don't like us that much" said a lighthearted G&S Department spokesperson. By government request, no more will be said in this issue Today in Science Scientists at the University of Hokkaido Observatory and Space lab today released their discovery of the first known Binary Black Hole system. little black hole near this big one - binary system Team Leader and founder of the project, Hiroshi Kakei, had noticed that for the last 2 years, the Quasar OJ287 had been giving off periodic flashes of light, occurring less than two years apart every 12 years or so. Using Einstein's theory of general relativity, Kakei and his team showed that these pulses could be the result of a small, orbiting black hole entering into the debris disk around the larger one, stationed at one end of the ellipse. In order to confirm the theory, the team created a model to predict the timing of the next pulse - and they were right "Current science and mathematics won't let us theorize on any other possibility, not that I mind; this is a truly fascinating discovery!" The Southern Fleet, which had been deployed on a mission, is being recalled to friendly waters, and is now sitting in UFE waters in the south. Because of this, The Emperor has ordered an economic stimulus package to be sent to UFE straight away. Already several of the Emperor's companies, including Enkaido Engineering and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Imperial Steel Works, Rising Sun Naval Co., etc, have begun heavy investment into UFE companies, particularly state-owned areas where the money can be used most effectively. Construction crews and Radiation Teams are also being sent to the UFE to aid in the rebuilding process. To secure friendships made in haste, the same package of aid will also be sent to our allies and friends the Dutch in Europe EDIT Edited March 7, 2009 by Lord Frost
