USNA
Personally, I liked the old tech table better. Still, you've done a smashing job. lol, the behemoth of a table that was wrong in so many ways? I think it was a bit too complicated and this one is much simpler. Plus it also means I'm on par with a modern 1st world nation now

Sargun II
That's what the point was, it was obviously so Turkey could become a futuristic behemoth Anyway, knife was right; as long as you don't go super-effing-fast, it's fine. Shadowsage
1900 Technology is a good thing, right? I'm 3 times as advanced as the United States? Sa-weet.
Lynneth
What do I get with 2875 tech? Fusion-power? Humongous mechas? Edited September 19, 2008 by Lynneth

Sargun II
Mechas are generally frowned upon. Mechas that have been designed by nations currently (by this I don't mean Gundams), which are generally useless and won't be of any help other than to show off, are perfectly fine. I'd prefer an army of tanks to even a single mecha. These walking things are completely useless, as cool as they may look. Shoot the legs and they're useless. V The King
What do I get with 2875 tech? Fusion-power? Humongous mechas? For the love of good, no mechas. And taking a quick look around, I'm the RP with the most tech if The Russian Empire is not taken into account. Sweet.
LeVentNoir
What do I get with 2875 tech? Fusion-power? Humongous mechas? I Dunno, but i expect I will have it too..... Uberstein
I'd prefer an army of tanks to even a single mecha. These walking things are completely useless, as cool as they may look. Shoot the legs and they're useless. That is why my really old mech's recovered from the collapsed Russany have extra armor on the legs. However, they can't walk very fast, they are more of "Stand there and kill EVERYTHING" machines. ...and I kinda gave them all to Martens so he could have fun with them against Subtleknife and Highbuzz. KujaSin
It's bothersome that my time suddenly gets eaten up so quick :/ I blame Spore and Emperor Tiberius.

Unfortunately, they seem to have been destroyed...along with most of my Expeditionary Force and ALL of Highbuzz's.
JerreyRough
Meh, you could RP mechs, but then again, they would be almot useless (especially compared in cost towards infantry). Why? Because, if theres mud, they will sink and cannot move. Sand they'll sink and not move. The'll wreak up roads from their earth-shattering feet. I'd rather just hire some men with me Blunderbuss's + Bazooka's . :awsume: Yo ho ho, and a bottle of rum! Its Talk-like-a-pirate-day! LeVentNoir
Mechs can be useful in urban areas, but yes it would be much easier to fit a armoured chassis with the right kind of weapons. Like multiple gatling guns.

Ranather
Mechs see some use, Uberstein and Martens are perfect examples, but generally I see them as useless.
LeVentNoir
Frost, it was agreed no stupid mechs, simple armoured walkers are personal preference.

Ranather
Yeah, something like Gundam Wing Zero would almost universally get shot down, so to say.
LeVentNoir
My mechs are simply armoured walkers, 6 legged about tank sized, with a single cell missile launcher and a gatling gun. Because tanks cannot operate effectivly in urban areas, I use these.
Ranather
I'm not near high enough tech to use mechs, but since I don't plan on much Urban Combat in my future, I wouldn't use them if I could.
Silhouette
If i were able to RP mechs, i would do so as if they were lightly armed recconaissance machines, rather than a front line unit. anyone remember mechwarrior? like the super light mechs in that. Machiabelly
so, I have 2800 tech. I would like to know if that would allow any form of useful laser weaponry. Either as a small one or two shot handgun...or something larger for military uses.

And artillery shells. Seeing as they're pretty much the most modern country today, I'd see them somewhere near 2.3k tech or something. But that's only my estimate. Edit: I have no idea if the lasers are still prototypes. Edited September 20, 2008 by Lynneth
