Really happy with NG’s performance overall.  It’s extremely rare for alliances on the smaller side of a war to have this kind of damage ratio.

Love the stats.

 

One thing I noticed was that damage done per tech seems to get less and less useful as the denominator declines given that old damage appears more flattering the more tech is lost.

 

The damage done per tech might be more meaningful if it were baselined at original prewar tech levels or total technology destroyed / expended to achieve the resulting damage.

Damage done per tech is dependent on current tech and pre war tech (an average between the two). Its not perfect but its there to prevent 1) high tier imbalance (nations that had a lot of tech, did a lot of damage, but ended up losing it therefore lowering this stat for them), and 2) low tier imbalance (e.g. a nation going from 500 -> 0 tech, damage done / close to 0 would be enormous).

 

Its only two points because I don't collect historical nation data and its difficult to pin point all the various tech losses vs. wars.

At the lower tiers you can also have tech dealers going from 100 tech on average, during peacetime, buying to 500 tech on the first day of a war.  I'm not sure there's one way to fairly account for how individual tactics change based on NS, "taking one for the team" on a stagger, alliance vs. alliance imbalances, etc.

Agreed, the tech swings at low levels are more wild, however the amount of damage that can be output based on that tech doesn't change much (the formula I use is not exactly just damage done/average tech).

 

I'll take this moment again to say that I made these stats as a way of trying to average things out in a more realistic way than just simpler metrics such as damage done, damage ratio, etc. They are really just meant to be a fun set of stats, I do appreciate that many people are enjoying it but of course the real set of stats are the alliance ones. There are too many factors to take into account on an individual level!

2) Individual stats now with offensive and defensive wars!
