The Kattegat Way.

They choose the path where no one goes.

They hold no quarter.
Walking side by side with death, the devil mocks their every step.

You’ll find on Planet Bob three types of alliances. First you have those that play the political game, that sign numerous treaties, oftentimes conflicting at that. You also have the neutrals and inactives, those that don’t do much of anything abroad.

Then you have those rare few that fit neither mold, that establish and foster bonds with others that are not rooted in paper. Kattegat is one such alliance.

Kattegat aims to take the path lesser traveled in this game. One not of imagined but of true independence, characterized by the avoidance of meaningless paper, treaty-whoring, and web entanglement that is the norm these days. However, paperless does not equate to neutrality for Kattegat, it simply signals that a treaty isn't needed to dictate what one or both parties can and cannot do. Kattegat doesn't seek to be unconventional in those regards for the sake of it but because it conforms with its founding values and because the alliance feels it shouldn't embrace the status quo simply because others are.

There’s more to Kattegat though than its diplomatically-driven direction, including a focus on transparency, group involvement, and an open-source mentality that manifests itself in day-to-day alliance affairs.

Ultimately we can promise community, guides, and aid like everyone else does – and we do – but that’s not what sets us apart. That’s not what sets anyone apart. We play this game our way. The Kattegat way.

I'm a bit late announcing it but that's par for the course. Nonetheless, I'm proud to report that Kattegat recently surpassed 2 million nation strength for the first time in its history on the back of a large spate of growth:

Who's next as we embark on our next milestone?  :)
