Yet another blitz!

 

All across the Indian protectorate in the western half of the Indian subconinent, media channels began to broadcast a message that was paid for by the Druk Yul and some allied protectorate governments. "It is time for families to be reunited again. No more border. One India, one flag, we will reunify with Druk Yul. It simplifies doing business, simplifies seeing family, and will revolutionize our economy and security. We are seeking police officers to train in Druk Yul law in preparation for the transition. If you are interested, please apply at your local circuit court office. You'll get further instructions there."

 

With the jobless rate in the protectorate being much higher than within Druk Yul itself, the applications were numerous and candidates swelled the academy back within Druk Yul. Some were not so pleased with the announcement and resistance groups began to form. Notably, those who were of Persian families that had been brought into the region from the last war were highly skeptical about the proposed encroachment. Resistance groups began to be formed.

An announcement from Shanghai would soon be made stating that the Shanghai 2nd Fleet along with its trade fleet has started a voluntary evacuation of the city of Mumbai and the surrounding region. Meanwhile they would also help the resistance groups get ready for the upcoming battle and although they would not help directly with the fighting itself they would let the world know that the killing of innocent civilians was a crime against humanity and that the Empire of Shanghai would not let something like that happen. "The Empire of Shanghai is there to get as many innocent civilians out as we can before the Druk Yul forces move into the region. There have been rumors that this is the start of a Druk Yul campaign against the Persian people and anyone associated with them and if so we fear that the Druk Yul forces will kill anyone that may be of Persian birth including innocent civilians. The Druk Yul leaders need to understand that the killing of innocent civilians no matter what their culture is a crime against humanity and should they go through with it than we would expect the rest of the world to help punish them accordingly."

Druk Yul has never condoned the indiscriminate killing of civilian populations. However, we will be seeking some remaining, free,  war criminals responsible for the nuclear holocausts of the last war. We do expect this will cause some resistance, but we're ready to handle that delicately. We find the vast majority of the populations rather favors a reunion due to familial, business, and other socio-economic ties. We do understand there is a rumor of a vengeance campaign, but it is the formal position of the Druk Yul government that no civilians of any particular ethnicity are to be targeted or harmed by our armed forces as part of this integration. We will do our best to control and monitor any groups that may take advantage of the unification process to seek their own forms of justice and will offer protection to any domestics in the regions we are integrating by our police forces. The evacuations are not necessary, but we understand if some feel they are at risk. We strongly encourage Shang Hai to be careful who they allow to evacuate. We will not tolerate any nation, regardless of past warm relations, harboring fugitives from justice.

But for the sake of things not becoming a mess, please PM me to work on the details. Resistance forces CAN win so don't write it off as just writing a losing campaign if that discourages you from participating.
