Diplomatic Reply from Nordisk Rike

The Nordisk Rike is overjoyed to hear from their ally in Alvonia, however we regret to inform you due to the low amount of government personal, and restructuring of the Foreign Affairs department that is still going and hasn't been completed, we lack actual trained diplomats to send to your nation, however if you have things to discuss with us, you are more than welcome to come to our nation, Krigsherre Ragnar Jarn has offered to meet with your representative personally himself and will allocate the time from his busy schedule to meet with you.

TO: Nordisk Rike Government
FROM: Alvonian Foreign Ministry
SUBJ: RE: Diplomatic Reply

We are currently unable to send a representative out of the country at this time due to slight civil unrest. We reiterate our request for a Nordisk Rike representative to come to Brno, and offer to cover any transportation and lodging costs.

Should that not be able to be taken at this moment, we'll simply state what we had in mind in this missive: We offer a joint Alvonian-Nordisk administration over the areas the Nordisk Rike is currently operating in, with the understanding some areas will of course be handed over directly to Alvonian state administration.

Signed,
Finn Powers
Minister of Foreign Affairs

Diplomatic Reply from Nordisk Rike

We will be sending a person down to meet with your nation, but we hope you are very well aware of how this will inconvenience our nation at this time.

-Nordisk Rike Government

Diplomatic Envoy

The Jarl of Diplomacy, the young lady that had won the position through hard work and determination Lykke Nova would be sent via private jet to Alvonia, with a small unit of elite soldiers that travelled in full combat gear. Lykke Nova would be dressed in plain combat fatigues, and she would only take off her gas mask when the private jet has passed across the Baltic and was only a short distance away from the Alvonian airport where they were scheduled to land.

The Jarl would be met by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Marcela Šimek and a small contingent of Schwarze Korps soldiers to provide security. "Come," she said to Jarl Nova, "We have to go to the convoy now." If the Jarl said anything, Marcela promptly ignored it and continued to urge her to the awaiting convoy, which notably featured heavily armored cars and a few IFVs from the Heer. Once they had settled in the car, Marcela explained, "I'm terribly sorry Herr Powers was unable to meet you himself, but he and Frau Dressler are already at the meeting place. And in regards to the armament...well, like we said, some civil unrest." If Jarl Nova felt so inclined to look out the window, she would see that the convoy was passing by protesters and demonstrations on what felt like every block, mostly regarding Poland.

She would sit between two of the Nordisk Guards, and not pay much attention to what was going on outside of the vehicles. "I am largely unconcerned with the current problems your nation is facing internally. I am here because your Minister was very insistent on my nation sending a member of government to discuss matters concerning the area of Poland we have deployed troops to." She pulled out a tablet from bag she had brought with her and started to do work on it. "If you will excuse me, I still have many things that I must do, and my work load will be quite backed up because of this trip, so please inform me when we arrive."

"Well then," Marcela said in Czech under her breath. From there, it was another fifteen-minute ride in silence as the convoy was stopped multiple times by angry protesters who had heard of the arrival of Nordisk Rike diplomatic personnel and threw rocks and trash at the convoy, and banged on the doors and windows to vent their anger. Marcela Šimek didn't seem to have any reaction to it, and simply told the soldiers in the convoy to make sure nothing was seriously damaged and to keep it moving. Eventually, of course, they arrived at the meeting place, Líšeň Castle. Šimek announced to Jarl Nova that they had arrived, and escorted her to the room where Finn Powers and Karoline Dressler stood, waiting. "Jarl Lykke Nova, welcome to Brno. I trust you were briefed on our last missive?" Finn said as he extended a hand.

She walked up to him with the heels of her boots echoing through the room before she came to a stop, two of the Nordisk Guards standing on either side of her slightly behind of her, wearing what was now becoming the iconic Nordisk Gas Mask that was standard issue and a mandatory part of the Nordisk Uniform. They stood a full head taller than her, which was emphasized by the fact that she stood at five feet and nine inches tall herself. She extended her hand and shook Finn's hand and letting go before replying. "You will have to excuse me, with most of our efforts being concentrated on the rebuilding from the nuclear weapons, the only reason that I know I am here is because our allies the Alvonians were distressed by our current troop movements in Poland, and sent a couple insistent messages to rob me of my work at home. So with that out of the way, how can the Nordisk Rike be of assistance to our brothers that we have shed blood together with on the battle field?"

"You mean the messages that I wrote and Director Wilding authorized?" Finn questioned, not changing his face. "Herr Powers," Dressler said, "if I may." Finn allowed her to begin speaking, knowing if he did he'd probably say something that piss everyone off. "Frau Nova, we in Vienna thought that our governments had an understanding. We had thought that, once the Prussians had been defeated, there would be no need for Rike troops in Poland again. Why exactly is the Nordisk Rike involving itself in the affairs of Poland?"

She would stare at the woman for a second before responding. "We had an agreement, an agreement that called for Alvonian troops to reoccupy the former territory they once controlled, an agreement where it would be the Alvonians dealing with any problems in Poland in concerns to the Baltic Sea." She would spread her arms open before continuing. "Where are these troops? Where is the reoccupation? Where is the suppression of a rebellion by the Alvonians? I do not see any of these things taking place, what my government and I saw was that Belarus and Malta were doing quite a large amount to put down this armed Polish rebellion. What we saw was that this rebellion was inching ever closer to the Baltic Sea, our and our allies water way and life stream to the rest of the world. In order to protect that life stream we were forced to act in an area that we saw our Alvonian brothers and sisters unable to do so at this time." She put her arms down before crossing them together in front of her, holding them across her chest. "We told you a long time ago we would see your former territory restored, we have no interest in the Poles or their country. We acted because we saw no action from you."

"Madame," Dressler said without even a slight change in her expression, "did your government ever consider the option of simply asking us what our plans were? Did your government perhaps consider that we did not have the political means to intervene at the time of your intervention? I hope that your government seriously got what it wished for, because like it or not, your actions and failure to communicate have alienated a very good portion of the Alvonian population. And before you pin this on us, may I remind you that we have been under serious internal pressure ourselves and it wasn't until this moment that we were able to be positive about calling anywhere secure."

"If I may be so blunt, Frau Nova," Finn added, "the outright lack of respect for our country and our time here displayed by you and your government is disturbing. You do not even do something as simple as send an inquiry to us, and yes I know full well that your ministry is experiencing some reshuffling, no I don't care. Find an intern to do it, hell, hire someone off the street if he knows how to use a phone or a computer. This incident is going to lead to some serious internal review of our treaty."

"Your remarks will be noted and will be forwarded to my government word for word, with special emphasis on tone and the level of respect given to them. If we had any other intention than not keeping our word with you, which is quite insulting to think that you would even have such a thought, we would have canceled the treaty after the war and taken the liberty to do what we wanted with the Baltic coast. The fact that the treaty still stands means that our previous agreements still stand. When your troops would have deployed to the area, or you requested our troops to leave after you were ready to move into those territories we would have done so without a second thought to it. We had only moved into Poland to protect the Baltic Sea while the Polish rebellion threatened to spill over into our waters. However if snide remarks, and veiled remarks are what we can come to expect from sharing water ways with your nation, perhaps it should be us reevaluating our treaty with you. We have valued up to this point as an ally, and have made moves with the interests and security of Alvonia as one of our primary concerns of our foreign affairs, as well as pushing an agenda which would see positive results and a stronger position for Alvonia within our nation as well as our allies. Perhaps this is something we should reevaluate as well." She continued to stand there with her arms crossed but her eyes had become narrow, showing that her mood had become quite fouled by the poor word choices by the two people standing there.

"Good to know," Finn said, giving a knowing glance and nod to Dressler, who cleared her throat to speak. "Nordisk Rike troops have one week to vacate themselves from all Alvonian territory and protectorates, or the Wehrmacht will be forced to begin operations to remove them by force. We have no use for an ally that performs action without even as much as a warning. If you see it fit to remove yourselves, all will be fine, but stay any longer and there will be problems. Frau, I do not believe for even a second that this rebellion ever had the capacity to move into Baltic waters, and if evidence proves otherwise I'll make sure your government knows. But for now our business is concluded, and I sincerely hope that we hear very soon of Nordisk Rike troops leaving Poland."

Whether Nova gave an answer or not would mostly be irrelevant, as Finn, Dressler and Šimek exiting.
