History of the Republic of Belarus

Pre-Cnrp2: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Belarus

Cnrp2

Belarus was re-founded on the Sixth of June, when it declared its independence from the Baltic Union. Belarus remained a relatively minor country, and was perfectly happy to remain that way.

Eventually, politics happened, and the young nation found itself allied to the nations of Hungary and Ukraine. It also joined the European Community. Life went on in the small nation. This period was quite eventful, with the nation of Alvonia deciding that it would be fun to accuse its neighbors of random shit so that it could invade them.

Not long after all that, Belarus found itself in its first crisis, due to retarded stuff happening. Eventually, the whole affair ended with the Ukraine imploding and Hungary and Belarus getting a new neighbor.

Thus, the long suffering nation entered a new phase in its history, surrounded by jackasses and generally having to deal with all kinds of retarded shit. It was during this period that the government commissioned the countries top-secret chemical weapons stockpile. It was also during this period that the government became increasingly autocratic, in order to meet the massive external threats facing the country.

Eventually, Poland collapsed, possibly due to its leaders' idiocy, and Belarus rolled in to bump off the Polish government and ensure that another strong Polish state could never rise again and threaten Belarus. This of course, lead to conflict with Alvonia. But, that was eventually resolved despite chronic idiocy on both sides.

During this time, Belarus would join another Bloc, with Hungary, Romania, and the Ukraine. This group would eventually be known as the East Bloc, and would, along with the nation of Prussia, go on to show Alvonia why pissing off an entire continent is A Very Bad Thing.tm

So, with Alvonia down, Belarus would go back to its awkward staring contest with Muscovy, now known as the Russian Empire. That would be settled relatively smoothly. The Ukraine would also collapse due to internal difficulties during this time. The East Bloc would move in to protect the area.

Also around this time, Belarus would find itself stuck in yet another bout of retardedness emanating from Alvonia. This one would be resolved, but would result in internal difficulties in the East Bloc.

While at first, it appeared as though these difficulties had been smoothed over, the East Bloc would eventually collapse due to Hungary exiting the Bloc. Prior to the collapse of the Bloc, Belarus would annex Haknowka county, a part of its Polish Protectorate.

In Between CNRP2 and CNRPA

After the collapse of the East Bloc, Hungary would begin to align itself with the East Bloc's former enemies. Romania would begin to look towards its allies in Britain and Carthage. Belarus would maintain its treaties with both Hungary and Romania, but would generally tend to lean towards Bucharest.

The collapse of the East Bloc had occurred due to civil unrest in Hungary, which had lead to Budapest withdrawing from the treaty. The unrest in Hungary died down after the withdrawal, but the idea that a population could rise up against its government began to take hold in the minds of the citizens of other autocratic countries, including Persia, Britain, Romania, Tianxia, and of course, Belarus. Belarus would strike preemptively at possible dissidents, but its efforts would not be enough.

Events in Hungary would trigger a European equivalent of the Arab Spring. In London, rioters would torch the Parliament. In Persia, an uprising would take place in the Empire's Indian territories, and millions of Indians would stage armed revolts. In Bucharest, troops would open fire on dissidents, only to realize that the dissidents also had guns, and were shooting back. In Tianxia, repeated uprisings across the country would tear the nation apart.

All of those nations would fall. Belarus would endure.

In Minsk, thousands of KGB OMON troops would wage street to street battles with protesters, and rioters would storm the Republic Palace, forcing the government to flee to Vitsebsk. Meanwhile, the army would wage a brutal, bloody war against a massive Polish uprising. In the end, the military would pull out of Poland in order to deal with the chaos unfolding at home. The Poles would have their country again, but it would be ruined beyond repair. No lasting Polish government would ever be able to rise again in the devastated streets of Warsaw.

Once it left Poland, the Belorussian military would unleash its rage on political dissidents. An attempted Polish rebellion in Hajnowka county would be brutally crushed, and the town of Hajnowka would be razed to the ground by thermobaric weapons. In Minsk, assault helicopters would bombard the protesters that now controlled the city, and Spetsnaz units would retake the Republic Palace.

The government would be forced to make some concessions, in the end. Many of its more Stalinist policies would be abandoned.

Belarus would spend the next five years rebuilding, while the world around it slowly crumbled.

CNRPA History

Rebuilding would be completed, just in time for another war against the Poles. For once, Belarus would find itself on the right side of history. The Poles would generally be viewed as terrorists, and with the help of Hungary and Malta, Belarus would prevail. Of course, there were, as always, a handful of idiots who had to make things difficult, but those could always be ignored. After that, Minsk would go through the usual procedure  and regain its old protectorate in Poland.

With that all done, Belarus would join yet another Bloc, Nordic Hammer.

And so the cycle would begin anew..;
