It's actually pretty easy to enforce this policy. It is a matter of looking for nations who send tech to DBDC and then attacking them. Polar doesn't need to hit every single nation sending tech to DBDC for it to be effective because smaller nations who can't afford to be attacked on a regular basis will naturally start selling their tech elsewhere. Overtime the pool of nations willing to sell tech to DBDC will naturally shrink until a time when the only nations willing to sell to DBDC will be these pesky Android clone tech farms.

I take payment for my tech in the form of watching spergs get butthurt. NpO's plans are driving up demand for me.

Since I don't think anyone has noted it yet, I will say it.

The irony of such a policy, is if it really works, DBDC would begin to drop in the ranks and actually become more of a problem, not less.

Except for the fact that by dropping in ranks it means they're thrown into the shark tank, and we saw how effective that strategy is, and that should a group of alliances have enough conviction can effectively topple an alliance.

I'd like to take this opportunity to point out how bagged milk is weird

And I'd like to take this opportunity to point out that bagged milk is wonderful and those who find it weird are either weird or have yet to experience the wonder of the bags of milk.

I don't think it works like this.

May all sides come together over this sentiment.

Amen.

The pernicious myth of bagged milk is merely another provocative attack against right-being Canadian folk. My milk comes in jug form like any other subscriber to modernity; any further suggestion that bagged or boxed milk is ubiquitous will be treated as an action meriting a defensive military action.

I think the only sensible thing to do is to help Polaris track the monsters who have supported DBDC since this announcement.

Let's begin with this guy, a member of Limitless Nexus. (Actually, he's the only one thus far. And he's also doing tech deals with SNX.)

I'll understand if you don't attack this guy in order to avoid having a war with Methrage.

I really don't understand all the fuss about it, since the first days of cyberverse the act of send aid to a nation at war is considered an act of war and an indisputable casus belli, what the OP said was just state the obvious.

Shouldn't y'all be looking after TSC? TJL is still allied to them or no?

We're allied to SC. It's a horribly confusing situation. Point is we have no allegiance to TSC.

Milk is poured from a box, bags don't even have any structure, you have to put them in plastic jugs which people don't wash enough, they just put a new bag in there. Gross!

The best jugs are made of ceramic. They keep the milk cold better.

While I generally find perma-war distasteful, if a group brings it upon themselves, then there's no sympathy for them.  It will be interesting how much ends up being left of Polar, should such a policy actually be acted upon.

I actually think not as many people will be wiling to roll them over this as some think.

Also milk in a jug is far superior to boxed or bagged!

it severely restricts the flow, however.

We're talking about 126 slots max here (give or take some, depending on freedom of movement), which means they technically only need approximately 21 exclusive suppliers at any given time. I have zero doubt they could find this amount at the very least.

Except for the fact that by dropping in ranks it means they're thrown into the shark tank, and we saw how effective that strategy is, and that should a group of alliances have enough conviction can effectively topple an alliance.

And if we were talking about anyone else other than the Doombird collective, we would indeed observe the cumulative effect of being dropped in the shark tank. As it is, it would take quite a while and a certain, possibly unsustainable, amount of sacrificial nations to do the necessary damage to DBDC to ensure that they could not rise to previous heights. We've seen what happens to 150k+ NS nations, so it's not difficult to draw similar conclusions as to what would happen to the sub-100k nations.

Would such a strategy succeed? Yes, of course; you throw enough numbers at it and you can change the outcome. But at what cost? Who shoulders the burden? Would we simply observe more mass PM usage in the sub-100k tiers, thereby dooming the strategy to fail? Would it, in the end, be anything more than a pyrrhic victory?
