Deutschland Uber Alles!!

Recommended Posts

Germany had managed to survive a turbulent period in its History. The Monarchy was gone and it has suffered a period of unrest and massive hyperinflation. Now the German State had reverted from the Weimar Republic to just the Federal Republic of Germany and the Capital moved back to Berlin. It had willingly gave up all its colonies and territory demanded in the Treaty of Versailles, with the leaders not willing to cause any of the victorious powers problems. In 1933 it had managed to halt an attempted Right Wing bid for power, with President Hindenburg's final act in office before he died to give the now Chancellor William Von Leeb the chance to prove himself. Presidential Elections to choose a New President would start soon.

The First Order of Business would be to repair relations with its neighbours especially France and strengthen its security without having to resort to armed conflict again. It was to be a long road but now as Berlin began a new era in German History, it would now be what was going to be Germany's path in the near future.

"France hopes that the German people stop claim our ancient provinces of Alsace and Lorraine, which they stole from us in 1871 and which we finally regained in the World War. Good relations can be established over time, however Germany will need to prove that it is not an agressive and revisionist regime anymore."

-Pierre Laval, Ministre des Affaires étrangères
