Generalissimo
"Time is relative to differing nations and geography. That's common knowledge by now. Re-setting of a nation's relative time scale can be dangerous. All of the Procinctians here certainly know really how dangerous it can be. Our uniquely held perspective in that crisis may provide us a path moving forward. If a two weeks in Generalissimo Scale's "Real Time" can be a year elsewhere. . . . . . why shouldn't a year of "Real Time" be two weeks in the somewhere? Twelve years elsewhere taking place within a two week time frame? Citizens of slower progression would be near immortal compared with their contemporaries. Bear Islands' Nation of the Bear's Transitional Authority has been debating this." (CNRP-2 Statement) "Deliberately altering our temporal scale to maximize our lifespans. Entire lifetimes elsewhere would pass in a single year's time. Difference between mayflies to a Redwood tree. To become seemingly immortal to everybody else. Bear Islands' Nation of the Bear considered deviating from our longstanding chronology. It was deemed too much a risk to carry out. That well meaning but ultimately ill conceive project was code named Lazarus Initiative. We're not going to carry out such a reckless course of action." (CNRP Statement) "Deliberately altering our temporal scale to maximize our lifespans. Entire lifetimes elsewhere would pass in a single year's time. Difference between mayflies to a Redwood tree. To become seemingly immortal to everybody else. Bear Islands' Nation of the Bear is unilaterally deviating from our longstanding chronology. With any luck by next weekend our entire population will be under this new scale. We're calling this little project Lazarus Initiative. To seize longevity with our bare hands! For science, because we can. By testing practical application of Generalissimo's temporal observations. . . . . . everyone in Bear Island's Nation of the Bear is guaranteed comparative immortality. One year of 'real time' is now officially a mere two weeks in the Bear Islands' Nation of the Bear. Behold what our science hath wrought." Generalissimo
An old man in a hood with glowing green eyes, "Have you considered simply.. I dunno.. ignoring time altogether?" (CNRP-2 Reply) "Ignoring time all together is likely dangerous. That's why Bear Islands' isn't pursuing immortality through means of temporal manipulation. We're not risking 100% everything for marginal gains. Gambling your nation's temporal existence isn't sane. " (CNRP Reply) "We haven't encountered anything like it probable within our calculations. I am extremely confident in my personal math skills. Nation ending catastrophic temporal paradox versus my skill in math. Confident enough to gamble my nation's existence on this. Not, however, willing, to risk everything on a completely untested theory."
