Centurius
With recent changes in Europe and the increasingly important influence of Carthage on the continent the decision was made that diplomatic outreaches were needed for a more effective foreign policy. Romania had already reached out to Carthage and that left one other important party that seemed to rise in influence. The Prussians. In line with this a formal invitation would be extended to the Prussian king to visit Carthage in person or via a representative.
Horo the Wise Wolf
Dispatched to Carthage for the meeting would be Prince Leo von Hohenzollern, given the King's busyness with post-war issues. Arriving there swiftly from his Government jet, he would be right in there to get stuck in to this diplomacy business.
Centurius
Upon arrival in Carthage the prince would be treated as worthy of a man of his position, from the airport he would be escorted to the Palace of Kings where Anysus was already waiting. Centurius
"Welcome to Carthage Prince von Hohenzollern, I trust your trip here went well?"
Horo the Wise Wolf
He nodded. "T'was a fine trip, and it seems to have been well-capped off now that I am in this most fantastic of palaces. It truly is a Palace of Kings!"
Centurius
"Glad to hear, now you are here there are many things we have to discuss. Since recent events have forced Carthage to maintain a stronger position in Europe this has also come with many challenges in the fields of foreign affairs. We have already developed highly positive relations with your allies and in part due to your strategic position but also the nature of your state we would like to see such relations develop between our two states as well"
Horo the Wise Wolf
"I think I can see that becoming a reality, and neither I nor those back home have any issues with that. We appreciate and respect the work that Carthage has done on the global theatre, and so we should be able to found prosperous relations." Centurius
Anysus nodded "Excellent, in that case I propose that much like with your Romanian allies the states of Carthage and Prussia establish an alliance including military and economic cooperation as far as our respective other agreements allow it and of course Prussia will be guaranteed access through the Strait of Gibraltar"
Horo the Wise Wolf
"Such agreements would be seen in a good light by our people and strategists; I do believe that we can indeed agree to a military treaty and agreement."
Centurius
"Excellent" Anysus said before signaling a servant to bring a document. A draft of a treaty including military defence, optional aggression, intelligence cooperation and free movement would be handed over to the Prince. Horo the Wise Wolf
After reading it, he would nod, seemingly satisfied, and sign it, before returning it to Anysus.
