A private jet would be sent to Constantinople, with the intent of ferrying the East Roman diplomat into Alexandria. Waiting on the runway, an Alexandrian chauffeur would escort the Roman diplomat into the Capitol building, and into the meeting room. Seated at the table was the current Bishop of Alexandria, Ioannes Palaiologos.

He stood to greet the Roman diplomat, shaking their hands. "It is an honor to welcome you to Alexnadria," he said, smiling jovially. "It brings us great pleasure here in Alexandria to know that the Empire lives contemporaneously once more." He gestured towards a seat opposite him. "If you'd please," he said, sitting down, ready to begin negotiations.
