Aggressivenutmeg
What had happened to the Borg, they did not know. They were cut-off, unable to contact the Collective. They had been making a routine jump from one system to another, but as they passed nearby a sun, they were caught in a solar flare. The sudden surge in energy sent their warp drive into overload and they were flung across the universe. They arrived in a sector of space unlike any they had ever been. Star patterns made no sense, and their navigational equipment was almost useless here. They made a short warp jump to a nearby star. There they came upon a small ship. Scans reviled it to be some kind of cargo ship. In an unknown galaxy, unable to contact the Collective, the Borg onboard the Cube did the thing they always did. A message was broadcast to the ship on all known frequencies and wavelengths. "We are the Borg. Lower your shields and surrender your ship. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile." Generalissimo
In the darkness of dead space *Yuan-ae's half who didn't go and seek *Maelstorm. . . . . . received a rather unusual broadcast. "We are the Borg. Lower your shields and surrender your ship. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile." The Borg, unknown something, making a galaxy wide declaration of conquest. No happening on her watch. "I am the Katana Fleet. Autonomous battle armada of Dreadnaughts Best collection of warships ever assembled." Not particularly true anymore "Most powerful fleet ever assembled." Certainly not anything close to resembling truth anymore "Most advanced force ever deployed." Time had eroded truth in that claim "Our biological distinctiveness is our own. Our technological distinctiveness is our own. Our culture has adapted to service ourselves. Surrender just simply isn't a realistic option. Shields are up and weapons are primed. You extra-galactic-invaders best consider backing off. Our galaxy's power is beyond anything you have possibly encountered. Withdraw your ambitions of conquest immediately or face our combined wrath." Edited July 14, 2014 by Generalissimo
