Following information of the apparent collapse of the Great Lakes Republic the Carthaginian Army was rallied quickly to send an initial expeditionary force to maintain order within the Republic as notices were sent to the African League informing them of this change. A protectorate would be immediately declared over the Great Lakes Republic to make sure no foreign invaders could enter the territory.

Project Tricent

With the recent plotting by Yugoslavia against Carthage it became clear the Empire needed to have a strong deterrent against any attack against it or its allies. In line with this the Emperor would authorize Project Tricent. This project would provide for the rapid construction of missiles, satellites(and launch), chemical weapons and strategic reserves of everything in use by the CDF with no clear caps imposed. To execute this project Carthage would rely on the extensive mineral wealth the African protectorates provided. Within Carthage dozens of launch locations would also be constructed as to make sure satellites could be quickly launched in wartime scenarios. Shell corporations would be set up in the protectorates for both extraction of the resources and establishment of additional launch locations.

OOC: 1 month = 5 rp years for internal construction.

Per Project Tricent, and with the World's largest economy and financial system, Britain formally offers to use its capital to buy up Carthaginian Debt in arms manufacturers and collaborate on achieving economies of scales in armaments industries and helping Carthage to spend with no consequence, in exchange for access to natural resources for our own massive arms build up.

Statement from the Department of Industry, Celtiberian Confederation

In a show of solidarity and gratitude towards our former protector, the government of Cheiftain Galitorvix and the Celtiberian Confederation offers access to the Numantia region and the substantial raw materials, ore and mineral deposits located there. While we cannot give sole access to the Carthaginian Empire, we can provide your industries a substantial discount of up to 30% from the current market rates for a period of two years to help off set the total cost of Project Tricent. In exchange, we hope that Carthage will continue to favor and support an independent and autonomous Iberian state.

Two divisions belonging to the Carthaginian Sea Army would be transported to the British Isles while elements of the Carthaginian Navy established positions south of the Isles to quickly strike against any force that might intervene. Continuous fighter patrols would make sure that no Alvonian forces could make their way to the Isles. Similarly a landing force of a single division would land in the Low Countries.

Back in the Mediterranean the existing forces already on the Balearics would hold their position while an expeditionary force was deployed to secure the unclaimed islands in the Atlantic that belonged to the Northlands and the United Kingdom.

Upon landing the Carthaginian forces were instructed to head for the general location of the Alvonian forces. Fighter as well as naval patrols would continue to position themselves to keep back any additional foreign forces. The Alvonians would be offered the possibility to withdraw without any bloodshed or be removed by force.

"Carthage will have no further influence in Europe, and let it be known that Alvonia does not take to threats of force kindly. Any attempt to remove Alvonian forces from the British Isles will be seen as an act of war and responded to as such."

"So be it"

---

With full intelligence awareness of the area Carthage had an inherent advantage in the terrain. Using active satellite feeds as well as preexisting intelligence links the locations of the Alvonian forces would be properly indexed. With final authority granted Predators as well as Reapers would be launched from the Carthaginian beachhead and move over London. Great care was taken to avoid hitting civilian targets but those locations identified as areas where Alvonians had significant numbers would see themselves face Hellstrikes. At the same time the forces belonging to the Carthaginian Sea Army continued their approach while being covered by Carthaginian Slam Eagles and Raptors to counter any air support Alvonia might have.

Simultaneously the Carthaginian Navy would increase military measures and stand ready to engage any French or Alvonian ship that might decide to further contest Carthaginian control. The Carthaginian Air Force would further prepare for missile strikes into the interior of both Alvonia and France should they opt to escalate the conflict. Allies were informed that Carthage was taking military measures in defence of its protectorates.

Despite the measures taken by the central government in the end the Empire of Carthage proved unsustainable as people voted to return to states of independence. Several government officials would emigrate to other countries while the African League was formally requested to assume a protectorate status of the former lands of Carthage. The European territories would mostly be released to their own devices entirely.
