Maelstrom Vortex
In the past 50 years, in the wake of Darth Krayt, the Tribal government of Trandosha had been wracked by a great civil war.. know as the war of Red Vs Blues. An entity known as the Destroyer had come to power among the Reds and was seeking to control the global government by a mix of force, terror, and poliitcs. There were rumors the Destroyer was one of Krayt's experiments gone wrong, that it was a Trandoshan Sith run amok. Among the faithful to the great scorekeeper, they knew him as the First in the afterworld.. a taker of so many lives the count had become so great only the keeper knew the tally. They said its eyes glowed green like flame and that when it was upon the battlefield it seemed to hover, rather than step.. calling out its orders in a voice that could not be understood by its enemys, but was clearly understood by its allies at great range. There were rumors that it was seeking something.. some great artificat.. an artifact that would help it finish Krayt's work. This war was ongoing and Trandosha.. was at odds with itself. Maelstrom Vortex
## In a secluded part of Hsskhor.. secured by innumerable layers of security. Maelstrom's eyes glowed as he was in communication with the lost soul he had stumbled across as he let his mind wonder the void. Even as he spoke, his assistants gave him his daily injection.. stimulating his body to produce more and more mitochlorians. Putting gasoline on the fire of his rage and the inferno of his mind. Krayt had hit the jackpot with this one. he was a craven lunatic knowing only insatiable hunger for more and more power and violence. A true destroyer, the trandoshan's body had warped under the power of the dark side into something vile. Horns grew from places that would not belong on any normal trandoshan.. and the beginnings of a tail was forming on his back. There were rumors his blood had been crossed with a Hssiss.. but his current staff had no idea how far Krayt had taken his efforts.
Maelstrom Vortex
## The battle for Varc The Blue Wave had one major city left on all of Trandosha.. it was Varc, and it was heavily fortified with walls and parapet mounted cannons behind a massive shield. The Red Tide had begun a siege and the city was blocked off completely from the east. Maelstrom rode with his generals in an AT AT just behind the advancing ground forces. "The city is well cared for. The Wave know this is their last bastion before they will be forced into the mountains. It will be a brutal fight." Maelstrom observed. General Kshik grined, "Should make for a great tally, my lord. The men will fight twice as hard to please the keeper." "All this old military hardware will get some good use." Maelstrom smiled as he looked out at the city in the distance. The fighting was just starting with the cannons firing at approaching fields of red clad Trandoshan troops that were weaving in and out from behind terrain obstructions. The shields were being hammered by arms fire in an attempt to get them to weaken."It's going to be a tough nut to crack.. we really need the shield generators offline. Don't we have one of Bossk's offspring in our employ?" Kshik nodded, "Yes sir." "Tell him we will double his monthly pay if he can get those generators down." Maelstrom gave a sinister grin. "Provide him a vehicle of his choosing to get him into the city." Kshik saluted and went to do as his commander instructed.
Maelstrom Vortex
Maelstrom sat in his AT AT at the rear of the front watching the battle as red Tie Bombers bombed the shielding over Varc. He closed his eyes, his mind reaching out with the force. He saw his mercenary nearing the shields.. and looked to the commander. "Tell the kinetic slug throwers to get ready.. the shields should drop any time now." He then reached back out to his new friend in space.. trying to cajole her to coming to Trandosha. The contact was brief.. she was a long ways distant. Fortunately, her thoughts were so remarkably fast, that's all that was needed were, short.. brief contacts. On the Horizon, there was an explosion behind the shield as a generator ruptured.. the city was open. The slug throwers opened and tore open the far side of the city. There was no desire to preserve the city in tact... Not among those keeping score. Just.. kill.. murder.. main.. annihilate.. exterminate. The Blue Wave forces broke.. they began to withdraw from the city.. heading towards the mountains in a fighting retreat. They would have fought block by block.. but every time they tried to defend a block it'd be bombed or hit by a slug reducing it.. and everyone in it to rubble. It would not take long for the city to fall under the ruthless assault. The underground was the only part that was able to be held with any proficiency by the blue wave.. and they terrorized the Red Sea as those upon the surface withdrew. It was some of the most visceral combat Tandosha had seen. When the Reds would run out of shells, they would harness their anger and fight with tooth and talon trying to tear their enemies apart, trying to up their score. They were trying to please the Scorekeeper, and her high priest.. the destroyer. Whoever killed the most at the end of the day.. would be given his want of the loot and plunder. Maelstrom Vortex
Once Varc broke, there was little left for the Blue Wave resistance to hold to. Red Tide forces pushed them onto and contained them upon the southern continent in the wilderness fighting a guerilla war. It would stay this way indefinitely.
