Evangeline Anovilis
Sadly for Hungary-Slovakia, their boats would not get out of the Black Sea, as the Straits were closed to them, given wartime policy. However, the Romanians would be quick to just retake their harbour and let the Magyars float around in the Black Sea. While trade with Hungary was not unimportant, it was judged that Hungary would most likely hurt itself more, by being utterly unable to now utilise the Danube downstream for maritime trade and had to rely increasedly on more costly overland transportation. Euphaia
Not Public Hungary-Slovakia would begin laying minefields, tank traps, Czech hedgehogs, and building watch towers, bunkers, military pillboxes, breastwork fortifications, and sandbag emplacements & bunkers, along the borders with Romania and Prussia. It would also beginning moving the remaining 330,000 soldiers, 600 or so medium and main tanks, it's artillery, and mobile SAMs to defensive positions close to the Romanian border, as well. Mines, tank traps, and watchtowers would also begun to be built or placed along the border with Prussia, as well. Mounted, large caliber, Heavy Machine Gun emplacements - as well as medium and general purpose machine guns - would also be set up across both borders. None of them would fire unless first fired upon themselves. Public Our ambassador has already left and we have already closed the embassy yesterday, so we are not sure who Romania approached to kick out. The guy sitting outside the gates of the closed embassy with a booze bottle in his hand was just some homeless bum, not our ambassador. Evangeline Anovilis
Private Response Sorry. We did not notice that it was one of our bums, not a Magyar official. But it seems to not have mattered, as the message reached you. You sure that it isn't your ambassador?

Euphaia
Public Elections scheduled for two weeks from now. Prime Minister Beres' approval ratings are currently fairly good, and he is expected to win re-election. All other parilamentary seats are up in the air though. It is our fondest wish that the families of those affected by this heinous and tragic crime are comforted in the knowledge that those responsible will be brought to a swift justice by the government of Hungary-Slovakia. If the Confederation can help in any way, we will certainly look to offer it, and the government of Hungary-Slovakia need only to ask for assistance. Again, we offer our sincerest condolences on the loss of life today. May Andraste guide their spirits on to a better place. Euphaia
Public The hunt for the Polish nationalist assassins in Poland, by the Hungary-Slovakian military, continues. Meanwhile, in an emergency meeting, the parliament has finally settled on an interim Prime Minister, David Konrad, who has vowed both to improve relations once again with long-time ally Belarus, as well as to prosecute a relentless war on Poland until the Polish nationalists either surrender unconditionally or are no longer a threat. Interim Prime Minister Konrad has already begun the process of reaching out to the Belorussian government. In other news, elections are still on schedule to take place in one week, despite the recent tragedy in Hungary-Slovakia. Also in today's news, the Hungarian parliament has finally voted to ratify it's Mutual Defense Pacts with Yugoslavia, Sverige, and Russia; a process that had been slowed by long debate by the Monroe, Libertarian, and Green Parties.
