RADARS ON MAUNA KEA Hawaii is nearing completion of a new Hawaiian Over-the-Horizon Radar Network which uses a series of long range Radars to provide 360 degree radar coverage out to over 1800 miles from Hawaii Island. The radar installation has been constructed near the summit of Mauna Kea to provide unmatched radar clarity that is capable of detecting missile launches, incoming ships and aircraft, and depending on conditions and deployment patterns, the presence of hostile stealth aircraft. The system, which is based on a late 1990s prototype of the old Australian JORN system, can be redundantly relayed to HIPACOM headquarters on Oahu, and from there can be networked into AEGIS and the Dreadnought flagships when the fleet is near home. Due to power limitations in the area, until a planned geothermal powerplant is developed to independently support the radar, power must alternate between the two 180 degree arrays. Currently, HIPACOM is expected to restore up to 5 missiles in the short term, with more possible in the future. Although the B-2 stealth bomber can represent a capable delivery vehicle, there are limitations to stealth technology, and having a long range ICBM options will help provide strategic deterrence even if Hawaii currently lacks a nuclear weapons program. Many of the individuals arrested held leadership positions in SOCSOV and were involved in using Party resources, including security personnel, for personal gain against the ethics of the Party. Hawaii claims Los Angelos County, in order to provide humanitarian missions to the area, and to protect the significant Hawaiian/Polynesian population in the area. The Hawaiians are warned to abandon their mission or risk military confrontation. CLASSIFIED MILITARY ACTION: President Heller has ordered Carrier Strike Group 1 with USS Gerald R. Ford, Carrier Strike Group 2 with USS John F. Kennedy, and Expeditionary Strike Group 1 to sail from the Atlantic Ocean to the west coast of North America. Since this will take some weeks, the President has ordered 5 B-2 Spirit bombers to fly to Edwards Air Force Base along with aerial refuelers and AWACS. 12 F-22 Raptors would accompany them. The bases would either be turned over to the United States or be bombed to smithereens. Either way Hawaiian imperialists were not stepping on North American soil. PRIVATE MESSAGE TO TIKAL: A contingent of US naval warships will be approaching the Nicaraguan Canal. The US Department of Defense requests permission to allow these warships to cross the canal in order to reach the coast of California ASAP. A HIPACOM WASP class transport ship and H.K.S. HOPPER DDG-70 destroyer can be confirmed to be in the area which will retrieve the deployed Battalions, first from Sand Diego and then Los Angelos. Additionally, all military communications and electronic capabilities will never be linked to the world wide web and shall instead be based in the separate SIPRNET (Secret level) and JWICS (Top Secret level) encripted communications networks of original United States design. This means intelligence operators (HIPACOM ARMY MOS 35 SERIES) will provide the backbone of communications and that sensitive communications will never be hacked from abroad. Command Dreadnoughts, the HIPACOM DSCS III communications satellite, and Hawaii based facilities will be the foundation of SIPRNET and JWICS communications and will provide coverage within a certain range of the Hawaiian Islands.
