from Hiroshima to Honolulu

Upon the request sent to the Imperium Of Japan News Corp, who then sent it along the proper channels, Osamu Saito, the Imperium's MoFA, thought the string of events was odd but they lived in a brave new world so tried to roll with whatever swung his way. A Japanese diplomat by the name of  Kazuo Kagome would be dispatched to Honolulu to foster relations with the Hawaiian people, specifically in regards to their concerns about the Philippines.

We thank the Japanese for their assistance, as we are a newly founded regime we have little access to the international connections of other Nations (often manipulated by the international bankers). We look forward to receiving the Japanese ambassador at Honolulu International Airport, which is undergoing remodeling to demonstrate the brilliance and sophistication of the Kanaka Maoli to foreign visitors.

As the Diamond aircraft landed, Secretary of State Jonah Kanahele waited patiently in the State Mercedes Car. As the aircraft pulled up to the red carpet and ladder, he watched as the airplane door opened and, just as the Japanese ambassador stepped out, so did Kanahele.

As the ambassador walked down the stairs, he was startled. Two platoons of Sovereignty Brigade paramilitary troops screamed "IMUAAAAAAAAAAA!" Within a few seconds, they had formed up along the length of either side of the red carpet, in perfect lines and silence. They wore full multicam uniforms, similar to those worn by the US military in an earlier time, with full IBA body kit, helmet and rifles held presented.

Kazuo met halfway down the red carpet with Kanahele and shook hands. Jonah Kanahele was an imposing figure, at six feet four inches and with the build of a linebacker he easily dominated the scene. However, he wore no bourgeoisie suit, instead sporting a plain well fitted black collared shirt with the Social Sovereignty logo over the heart, and simple khaki pants and formal dress shoes.

"Aloha and welcome to Hawaii, I hope you enjoy your stay in Paradise!"

He was a bit surprised by the show but it was not entirely unexpected, traditional Hawaiian welcomes tended to be very showy from what he had read up on Hawaii before coming here. "It is truly a pleasure to be here, the weather and flora remind me of the Ogasawara Islands back home." returning the man's handshake, "Would you like to begin our discussions now, or perhaps a tour of this lauded hotel I heard about in your message?"

"Certainly we can discuss the Filipino imperialist aggression on the way to the Hotel. Now we are highly concerned about the recent illegal annexation of Wake island, and believe they are positioning their bombers to be in range of the main Hawaiian Islands. Now while we still have our mighty Air Fortress of Midway Island, we are still concerned, as without them in the picture we would feel far more secure in our position.

"Do you have similar concerns for Japan's well being?"

Kazuo walked along side Jonah as they headed towards the hotel, "We do dislike that Philippines did not make a public statement in regards to Wake Island, as it is in an important strategic position in the Pacific, however do not believe the Philippines is intending on attacking Hawaii, nor do I recommend making an aggressive action towards them in kind, as that would cause unneeded chaos in the Pacific and be met with swiftly by the Imperial Military."

"Our main concerns currently are the security and safety of our civilian ships, any molestation of them is a threat to our economy, and if Japan hopes to return to an economic power we cannot allow that to happen."

"If you are concerned for shipping security, we strongly urge you to monitor the Imperialists of the Philippines. From Wake Island as a base, they can extend their naval range and support privateer activity in the future. We would note that the Imperialists have declared their intent to commit genocide against the Kanaka Maoli had they the power. We would that Japan not fall to the bourgeoisie deception being waged by the Filipino regime and help us control these ambitious rogues."

With that Mr. Kanahele handed this document to Mr. Kazuo.

Kazuko Kagome looked over the document, along with the aggressive statements and propaganda made by Hawaii towards the Philippines. "It appears as though you instigated them with slander and they seemingly called your bluff, unfortunately I do not see any statements by the Philippines to warrant your antagonistic behavior, nor any evidence that the Philippines was attempting to plant spies onto islands controlled by Hawaii. due to the fact this will soon become an active war zone I am afraid I must cut this trip short."
