Captain Enema
One sunny morning the good peace loving people of Maldives would wak up to the sight of several warships off their coast. Before they knew it, Kingdom Legionnaires were pouring off landing ships and hopping off helicopters. Over their radios a message would be heard. Citizens of the Maldives; We come in peace as part of Operation Sri Lanka. Your island are to be taken under the protection of the Kingdom of Axum. Our Legionnaires will keep you safe. Service in the King's legions brings citizenship. As of today, the anarchy that ruled this tragic land will cease to be. The warlords occupying various cities in of the Maldives have exactly 1 hour to surrender, an hour which started 45 minutes ago. King Beckwith of the Kingdom of Axum As soon as the Legionnaires and Marines of the Kingdom's Armed Services capture a major airfield they are joined by a Strike Fighter Wing and a Bomber Squadron. Maldives will someday become the home of the Maldives Brigade that will be filled with local soldiers in the months to come. Administrative units made up of experienced Africans will assume direct control and when local candidates are identified those Africans will rotate back to their units. Within the Kingdom's Parliament, notice is made that they will soon be joined by new members of Parliament from the recently acquired Islands of the Maldives. All, well not everyone, the Communist party poopers excluded, rejoiced. Edited May 20, 2014 by Tidy Bowl Man

Captain Enema
The Naval Group experiences a freak sea otter attack and is destroyed entirely. While everyone mourns the lost navy ships, the Maldavian Air Force is joined by a team of three aircraft configured with massive radar domes and six more configured for antisubmarine warfare duties. The planes are doubled crewed, which prevents long term crew fatigue.
Captain Enema
The ships previously thought lost, somehow reappear from the abyss and beyond. It turns out Sea Otters aren't quite the shipkillers everyone made them out to be. The cruiser, landing ship, and three frigates are positioned near the Maldives and put on regional patrols for security threats and anti-piracy operations. The first of these being a sweep through the regions of Indonesia with care not to infringe on the territorial waters of the Philippines. While the Maldive Task Force is out on the hunt for pirates, a second task force consisting of a heavily modernized Kirov Battlecruiser, two Aegis Guided Missile Cruisers, a landing ship converted for Sea Control operations, and four frigates make a long sweep around the Maldives and down the coast of Africa to make a few port of calls in ungoverned and friendly ports. Again, care is taken to not infringe on the territorial waters of friendly nations and other nations that the Kingdom is not currently in contact with. mona lisa
To: Kingdom of Axum From: Kingdom of India Our intelligence indicates you have military assets in and around the Maldives, as well have begun occupation of Sri Lanka. The Kingdom of India views these motions as a gross violation of its national security and strongly urges Axum military assets to clear away from the area. I inform you that the Indian Navy has positioned a naval force in the Laccadive Sea in case you refuse to concede. India is willing to provide monetary and additional resources if your country decides to freely leave the area. - Magistrate of External Affairs Dr. Tausiq Narayan

Captain Enema
Classified With Indian Naval forces in the Laccadive Sea protecting themselves from a nonexistent threat, it is decided to be conciliatory towards them for their own sake by taking the long way around. All approaching Legion Naval units are ordered to observe a strict corridor that approaches the Maldives from the South and keeps Legion ships out of the Laccadive Sea. The Maldive Brigade is officially brought up to full strength as the last group of officers and specialists graduate their training courses in the Kingdom. They are given their graduation bonuses and flown back to join their units. A SOSUS network will be constructed once funds are appropriated for this network. Given the prickly Indian sentiments, the decision is made to allow them access to the network as a means of extending their reach deeper into the Indian Ocean and extending the Kingdom's reach into other regions via anticipated reciprocal agreements.
