lkfht
OOC- This nation can be recognized or not, I do not care. I will not recognize attacks that have not been agreed upon by me in advance. Wars and rp should be collaborative. If you want to play with me, the following are the rules. 1) RP is discussed in advance. 2) Using OOC logs and conversations to justify IC actions, not allowed. 3) The rp desired is long term rp, don't bother me with your whining about needing a cheap thrill. If you want a war, we can do something, but only after the rp is put into place to justify a build up to war. 4) War posts will be very clearly written using technology we've both agreed upon, likewise so will character combat posts. All fights must start with the exact equipment, units, and locations of the units being stated. 5) RPing a character in Argentina is permitted so long as you aren't burning down entire cities or controlling my citizens. Commonwealth of Mexico After the fall of the provincial governments in Baja California, Baja California Sur, Sonora, Sinaloa, Chihuahua, Durango, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, and Tamaulipas; a military officer would emerge as the next leader of the country. His name, General Federico Chavez would lead this new country to freedom and prosperity for generations to come. Knowing the struggles Mexico had endured for the past several years, he immediately convened an executive body, the Council of State. This body would be charged with restoring law and order, managing public works projects, and rebuilding efforts in damaged areas. A general election for the new unicameral Parliament for 250 Representatives. His excellency Federico Chavez would be coronated as the King of the Commonwealth of Mexico along with his wife Queen Catherine Chavez. Once elections were completed the official members of the Executive and Judicial Branches would be announced. Each province would also be governed by a governor appointed by the King, but confirmed by the provincial legislative body. Euphaia
(OOC - huh, wasn't aware people were allowed to have more than just one nation. I might expand Euphaia at some point in time in the future then) The government of Euphaia formally recognizes and warmly welcomes the new nation of the Commonwealth of Mexico, extends its hand in diplomacy, friendship, and cooperation, requests the start of formal diplomatic ties, and requests the exchange of embassies and ambassadors. (And hopes themCommonwealth of Mexico will have a secular, capitalist government) The next day, a Man that identifies himself as a "representative of the people of Euphaia" also visits, expressing the people's sincere congratulations to the people of the Commonwealth of Mexico and their new government, formal recognition of the nation of Mexico and it's government of the people, and the people of Euphaia's hand in diplomacy, friendship, cooperation, and comraderie and solidarity to the people of Mexico. (And ofcourse hopes the government will be socialist or communist, and will not be imperialist.) Edited April 27, 2014 by Euphaia

lkfht
BREAKING NEWS A 7.6 magnitude earthquake shook the Sinaloa Province on this morning, destroying buildings and prompting office evacuations. The Mexican Geological Survey put the quake epicenter in the western part of the province and a tsunami alert was triggered. Prince Alejandro Chavez, governor of Sinaloa, was giving a speech to the Provincial Legislature. "I think we'd better take a pause if you don't mind," he said, leaving the stage. Onlookers flooded out. Damage reports indicate many severely damaged roads, power outages, building fires, and building collapses. It is estimated nearly 800 wounded with at least 50 confirmed dead. King Federico Chavez has directed the Mexican Royal Gendarmerie's 1st and 2nd Royal Infantry Regiments to the province to provide humanitarian assistance and law and order. The Army has also deployed specialized Urban Search and Rescue teams to the most affected areas. Army and Air Force helicopters will be providing casualty evacuation services, and deliver heavy excavation equipment to needed areas. The Navy has ordered LS-301, Liberty-Class Landing Ship, and LPD-303, Triton-Class LPD, to deploy 20 miles off the coast of Mazatlán. The provinces of Chihuahua, Durango, and Sonora have sustained some damage, however not as much reported in Sinaloa. Minister of Internal Affairs Madam Luisa Valentino has assured all affected provinces of the national government's assistance in whatever way possible during this crisis.
