JEDCJT Posted April 21, 2014 Report Share Posted April 21, 2014 (edited) From the historic city of Prague, a message would be sent to all nations around the world through official channels, starting with the Athenian Federation, courtesy of the Interim Authority Council of the Czechoslovak Democratic Republic: Esteemed leaders of the world, Years have passed since the collapse of the fascist polity known as the Greater Sith Empire. The peoples of Czechia and Slovakia had constantly been chafing under the oppressive rule of a series of totalitarian regimes, from the Continental Empire of Dalmatia to the Greater Germanic Reich to the Sith Empire. The weaknesses of democratic institutions made possible the near-successive rise of such regimes, such as the subversion of the Union of Slavic Republics into the Continental Empire of Dalmatia, and more recently, the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia to the Sith Empire. We have repeatedly hoped for a harmonic community, where we would enjoy freedom and prosperity, and to live together in peace. Unfortunately, we paid dearly for these hopes. But no more. The collapse of the Sith Empire removed the vestiges of fascist rule, uprooted the arbitrary laws and decrees that effectively silenced the voices of the Czech and Slovak peoples, and cleared away the oppressive climate that all but choked our peoples. The provision of stability, order, and prosperity under the previous regimes is a cautionary tale of the dangers inherent in trading away individual freedoms for order. It is with this in mind that the Czech and Slovak peoples have joined together to form a new nation in the form of the Czechoslovak Democratic Republic. I can say with utmost certainty: Nordic Socialism and similar ideologies will not take root in this nation again. The debates at our first constitutional convention, under my watchful supervision, and with the approval of Athenian protectorate authorities, proves that. For instance, members elected from both Czechia and Slovakia worked hard to include a strong system of check and balances, as well as one that enshrines separation of powers, in the Constitution of the Czechoslovak Democratic Republic. Human rights and dignity were declared inviolable, and any government that legitimately assumes power after the upcoming legislative elections will be committed to upholding the rights and liberties of its citizens. Furthermore, given the experiences of the previous decades, it would be safe to say that the people would not be willing to allow a repeat of the past. Never again will the voices of the Czech and Slovak peoples be silenced by those who seek to subvert democracy for their own narrow, selfish interests. Never again will the rights and liberties of the Czech and Slovak peoples be trampled by those who claim to represent the 'people'. I express my sincere hopes that this will be the dawn of a new beginning, not only for the peoples of Czechoslovakia, but for Europe as well. We in the Czechoslovak Democratic Republic strive to establish peaceful relations, and to exchange dialogue, with all nations around the world. You are welcome to exchange Ambassadors and Consuls with us in accordance to our respective embassy establishment standard protocols. Lastly, but not least, I would like to thank the Athenian Federation on behalf of the Czech and Slovak peoples for not only providing stability and order in the aftermath of the Sith Empire's collapse, but also enabling the process in which our peoples would exercise their sovereignty as an independent nation once again. The Eupaian government requests an ambassador be sent to Eupaia, the start of formal diplomatic ties between our two nations, and an Euphaian Embassy in CDR. ----------------------- The People's Army also warmly welcomes the new government in CDR. We, too, hope to one day bring about the end of a corrupt, greedy, fascist government that only serves to further enrich the wealthy and elite in our country of Eupaia.. The fascist capitalist government here has failed to help the poor and the impoverished. This must end, and it shall, but it can only happen with help from our brothers and comrades from around the world, as we are only an army of 800 strong, with enough supplies for only two or three months. Anyone in our nation who who works hard to acquire skills cann prosper in Euphaia. It is our capitalist system that is responsible for the success and prosperity of Euphaia. Before a year ago when we came to power, this nation, as part of the Tian Xia protectorate, was completely overlooked and impoversjished, and terrorized by regional warlords who fought for power. Since the capitalist government came to power, the only warlords that are left is this communist rebel/ terrorist group, ad Euphaia has thrived and prospered. ------------------------------------ (A dispatch from the People's Army of Euphaia) Hah! It is the Euphaian government who lies to you! What need would there be for a rebel group, however small we currently are, if there were not injustices being perpetrated in Euphaia? Is it not the duty of a government to make sure that it's people do not starve and live in poverty? Instead, a quarter of it's people remain hungry and impoverished, while the rich continue to become richer, and the powerful continue to become more powerful. We are currently taking appropriate steps to ensure that the Czech and Slovak peoples will enjoy their freedoms and liberties without being haunted by the specter of fascism. Euphaia Posted April 25, 2014 Report Share Posted April 25, 2014 In more breaking news, another group of angry Euphaian citizens, inspired and encouraged by the surrounding of the Meihuan embassy in Euphaia, have surrounded the Czech Embassy in Euphaia, which is just three blocks away from the Meihuan Embassy. With around 100 angry citizens participating in the surrounding of the second embassy, the three Euphaian military guards that were posted outside the embassy have surrendered their arms to the angry mob and have retreated to safety inside the embassy. So far there are no Euphaia or Czech casualties to report, however the embassy itself is being pelted by a continue barrage of rocks, cans, and bottles. They give a cheer as the Czech ambassador and embassy guards emerge safe from the embassy, and as the mob flees. JEDCJT Posted April 26, 2014 Author Report Share Posted April 26, 2014 Ambassador Vaclav Dubeck had begun to get settled at the newly-established Czechoslovak Embassy in the Euphaian capital when he was informed of this disturbing turn of events. Surprised and unsettled by the sight of at least a hundred of angry citizens surrounding the building, Dubeck contacted Prague by secure channel, informing them about the events and inquiring of his next course of action. The Foreign Office cabled back, ordering Dubeck to begin the process of evacuating the Embassy just in case the situation worsened, and stating that the Czechoslovak Government would bring the matter up with the Euphaian government. Meanwhile, embassy guards, lightly armed with pistols and sub-machine guns, took up defensive positions near and inside the Embassy. The Ambassador was in the process of packing, and arranging a safe passage of his family out of the country, when Euphaian militiamen arrived and dispersed the protesters away. Things were almost back to normal, but the Ambassador realized that the situation was not conductive to a smooth and stable functioning of the Embassy. He would remain at the Embassy for now, but he would send his family, and nonessential personnel, back to Prague for their safety. Rest assured the perpatrators will be held accountable for their actions. President Jarris and myself were relieved to hear no harm had come to you or your family. Our military and police forces are quite stretched with the insurgent assault in Monternia and all the protests going on. If your country is able to provide us with much needed aid: military rifles, ammunition, jeeps, Humvees, APCs, Apaches, or Cobras, it'd allow us to better protect our cities and embassies, as well as launch a proper counter-assault and retake Monternia, and quite possibly put an end to this madness once and for all, Heaven willing.
