Romanian Health Minister Maria Beacusha announces major effort to bring poor areas of Romania Free Healthcare Subsidies to combat preventable diseases. Bucharest sees a major parade as the country celebrates its Independence. An estimated Two Million people attend this parade. Social Welfare Programmes begin. Families or mothers do not pay for giving birth, which is subsidized by state tax revenues. As soon as mothers give birth, they are entitled to vacation. They receive aid which amounts 75% of their net income, without a limit being set. After the age of two, children receive an allowance of approximately the equivalent of $9 per month up until the age of 18, although they must attend school in order to receive it. The Pension System is also formed.The current average retirement age (55 years for women and 57 years for men) will be gradually increased over five years to 60 years for women and 65 years for men. Pension is granted nonetheless of the contributions made during one's lifetime. It increases proportionally with the contribution a person made during their working age. Some retirees have pensions that overcome the medium salary, but a third of them live off with a pension equal to or under the Minimum Wage. Pension is to be provided by the state. Public Romanian Government announces that all Males between 18 and 40 are to do Two Years Conscription. Demonstrations against the Drakon Attack on The Cape is mounted in Bucharest. Three Thousand People take part without any incident. This was due to the fact that the Romanian National Army had requested a larger caliber Self Propelled Howitzer. Romanian Air Force Romanian Defence Bureau built MiG-23MLD Flogger-K Interceptor Fighter enters service (5 Squadrons) Romanian Defence Bureau built Tu-22M2 Backfire B Strategic Bomber Squadron enters service. Public Harsh new measures called the Illegal Brothel Eradication Act enters law severely punishing owners of Illegal Brothels and Adult Entertainment Establishments which are found to house Illegal Brothels. This is enacted to improve Romania's reputation and squeeze Romanian Gang's assets and points of revenue. Government sponsored Brothels are to remain open but with heavy regulations. Tax Breaks for Local Businesses are to be introduced to allow growth. Beef Production Industry in Central Romania to receive massive subsidies to allow expansion of operations. Rompetrol Group N.V announces Profits of Twenty Million Romanian Leu as they find new Oil Fields at Ploesti which will increase quantity of Oil Production. It would then track back, flying at maximum speed to test the aircraft's capabilities. Elsewhere, in the Transylvanian Alps, the 1st and 2nd Mountain Brigades were practising defensive tactics in mock scenarios designed to train them in what would be their main theatre of operations against a hyper theoretical enemy. Also under way off Constanta the two Type 22 Frigates RNS Bucharest and RNS Michael and the Mărășești Class Frigate RNS Mărășești would participate in proving exercises firing their main armaments for the first time against practice targets. The Romanian Armed Forces would mount many of these exercises in the future, designed to sharpen the unit's skills and prepare them for any potential scenarios. All TR-85 Main Battle Tanks upgraded to TR-85M1 variant and strength increased to Ninety. A Romanian Defence Bureau built T-62M Main Battle Tank named T-62MR Main Battle Tank with local variants of the upgrade packages, including a RDB-37 Diesel Engine developing 620 hp (462 kW). Also included was the installation of Appliqué Armour. They would be painted identically to TR-85M1 Main Battle Tanks. Strength of Thirty Per Brigade. Public Romanian Government announces massive spending on improving state of roads in the country. Also in the agenda would be increased funding to the Police Force to combat crime and gangs. T-62MR Main Battle Tank would now become the Main Battle Tank in service. Strength increased to One Hundred and Fifty per Armoured Brigade. Public Constanta receives Six Hundred Thousand Romanian Leus of upgrades to improve Port and Harbour Facilities. President Joanna Trieusna announces that Romania is a "Neutral Power" and will refrain from acting on affairs outside of Europe. She also announces that Romania was to not seek admission into the United Nations as it is "a Largely Ineffective Organization" and it was to rely on Regional Treaties to manage its Diplomatic Relations with its European Neighbours. Import Taxes on Any Non European Goods entering the Country increased to Sixteen Per Cent with any Imported Goods from European Nations receiving a more Generous Ten Per Cent Tax. Romania was to maintain a Politically Neutral Stance with its Diplomatic Aim to strengthen Economic Ties with its European Neighbours.
