CNRP Tech Reform

So with recent events it has become clear there is a popular desire to see tech scales dropped to a more current time frame while also allowing for the lowest end to be a closer match for the most modern generations. As such I come to you with the following proposal to be discussed, this proposal has both the traditional method of making a scale you're used to which allows for a gradual development and should we at some point change the ceiling from 2020 to a later year it can still be applied. The resulting scale begins with 1991 tech at 100 tech(something everyone should have, even if they're tech dealing) and reaches the 2020 cap at about 8000 tech. A number that while high a fair portion of CNRP should be close to or have actually reached. To illustrate some numbers(I took the scale beyond 2020 to illustrate the progress it makes at higher levels.

Exact years for your tech level can be calculated using the following site: http://rechneronline.de/logarithm/

I support this measure.

Now, with that said, how does this affect custom design aircraft? Theoretically, with 2018 level (I got a bit over 6,000 tech) will this mean my fifh gen fighter options are F-35s or can I go and try get myself a slightly less advanced F-4? Won't affect my vote really, but I really hate using the F-35 already now and I will even more hate it when I no longer can be a "military hipster" as MGL once put it and everyone flies the same aircraft as me.

One slight question: What about players with under 100 technology?

(Like say Generalissimo)

Everything below 100 counts as 100, so tech sellers don't have momentary lapses into worse tech.

Under this proposal nothing else really changes so you can have whatever plane you want as long as its design is realistic physically and can be built by and with technology available in 2018.

Given that fighter currently is pretty much the sole thing I can currently think of that would need editing in my country, this makes me a happy Eva.

I've personally never had much in the way of issues with the current tech scale but this is alright for me as well, although I feel 2025 would be better.  Oh well, I guess everyone's gonna start fielding Raptors now :P

No way, as a European I'm totally going to make my own boutique fighters :P

Another pointless change. I know why this has come about its all the "magic tech" that the more successful nations have. Yet people don't seem to notice that most of the time the ones with the magic tech are victorious because they fight and write better.

Regardless if this is the new system then that's fine with me if the old system remains that too is fine.

One step at a time Kevin, doing this one change at a time we can all find middle ground on is way easier than trying to change the whole game at once.

Well a good start would be that if you read something you don't understand then ask the writer to explain it to you by personal message. I have done just such a thing multiple times. It isn't hard or anything.
