Charter of the Greater Jedi Order

There is no emotion, there is peace There is no ignorance, there is knowledge There is no passion, there is serenity There is no chaos, there is harmony There is no death, there is the Force

We the nations of the Greater Jedi Order hereby agree to live by the Jedi Code. We hereby declare that any nation seeking to pursue justice will be readily accepted into our ranks. We pray it is the will of the Force that we come into power to ensure justice throughout the world.

Article 1

Section 1 The Greater Jedi Order is to be led by the High Council. At the top of the High Council sits the Grand Master. The Grand Master's vote in any issue is to be counted two times. There are to be 5 other members of the council. Each of their votes count once.

Section 2 Any council member may make a motion to vote on a matter. These may only be for or against votes. The votes may not be counted for 72 hours. The exception to this is if more than half of the 7 possible votes are voted for or against the motion. When a motion is accepted it will be put into play immediately. If a motion is denied it cannot be made again for another seven days.

Section 3 Any Jedi Master may be voted on or off the High Council. A motion to remove must be made and passed. A motion to accept a Master onto the High Council may not be made unless there are one or more vacant spots on the High Council. Once a member is voted off a search must be started immediately to find a new Master to fill the empty High Council seat.

Article 2

Section 1 All members start at the rank of Initiate. They are more commonly called Younglings. The Initiates must prove themselves worthy and active before being put on the list to receive a Master and become a Padawan.

Section 2 When an Initiative becomes a Padawan his role in the alliance becomes a lot more than just proving himself worthy. Being a Padawan is one of the hardest stages of growth in the Greater Jedi Order. All Padawans must be loyal to their Master. They must obey their Master and treat them with respect. A Padawan's Master must help his Padawan grow. This can be done by training him, finding him tech deals, fighting a common enemy with him, etc... The High Council may also assign the pair missions. They are to execute the missions to the best of their ability. When the Master feels his Padawan is ready for the trials, he is to tell a High Council member. The High Council member will tell the Grand Master and the trials will begin.

Section 3 To pass the trials the Padawan must have successfully done a tech deal. He must also be involved in a war. That could be sending aid to a nation in war or being directly involved. They must also correctly answer a question given to them by the Grand Master. If they do all of that correctly, they will become a Jedi Knight. If you fail you will be handed over to another section of the Jedi Order.

Section 4 When you are a Knight you will be involved in several missions. You will be one of the first people the High Council goes to to assign a mission. A Jedi Knight is a respected position. When a Knight is ready, he may apply for a Padawan. To become a Master the Knight must either train a Padawan to Knighthood or be recognized as worthy of being a Master by the High Council. If you tell the High Council your Padawan is ready to be a Knight, we expect him to be.

Section 5 The rank of Jedi Master is a highly respected rank. Masters are free to take on one Padawan at a time like a Jedi Knight. The bonus for being a Master is the chance to be nominated and voted onto the High Council when a former member steps down. Masters are also looked up to by all Jedi.

Section 6 There is only one Grand Master at a time. We will not tolerate Jedi trying to overthrow the Grand Master. The next Grand Master is to be appointed by the Grand Master that will be preceded by his choice. This is done by choosing an alliance heir as soon as possible. A Grand Master can change his heir, but he must make sure he has one.

Article 3

Section 1 There is to be no tech raiding without the permission of the High Council. There are also not to be any offensive wars by members of our alliance affiliation unless they are given permission or told to.

Section 2 In the event that a nation of our alliance is attacked, we will do what we can to help. This can be anything from monetary aid to attacking the attacker. If a nation of our alliance sees that a nation in his strength range has attacked a fellow Jedi, he should attack the attacker.

Section 3 We will honor all treaties we sign with other alliances. If a Jedi sees that an alliance we have a Mutual Defense treaty with was attacked, he is not to do anything. He must wait for the order to attack.

Section 4 The Greater Jedi Order does have a ZI list. It is composed of nations that pose as a threat to the GJO. They have either verbally or physically attacked us. ZIing is a common mission for a Master and his Padawan.

Section 5 The Greater Jedi Order will enter a war if the High Council votes to. We will attack any alliance we have the strength to that disrespects justice. Disrespecting justice is the ultimate crime for anyone to commit in the eyes of the Jedi.

Article 4

Section 1 The Reassignment Council is in charge of the four service corps. The four service corps will be discussed in the next article. The Reassignment Council is made up of two permanent members and three temporary members that serve terms of 6 months. The permanent members are on the Reassignment Council for life or until they step down. One of the permanent members is the Grand Master. The other permanent member is chosen by the Grand Master. The three elected members are nominated by the High Council and voted on by any Jedi. Every 6 months three new members are voted in. Unlike the High Council, the Reassignment Council can have Knights serve on it as well. If the permanent member chosen by the Grand Master steps down, the grand Master must choose a new permanent member.

Section 2 Unlike on the High Council, the Grand Master's vote only counts once on the Reassignment Council. All members have one vote. Votes are counted after either the majority vote the same or 72 hours are up.

Section 3 The Reassignment Council will also assign Jedi that failed the trials or were chosen not to be Knighted to a branch of the Service Corps. Jedi that passed the trials can also join the Jedi Service Corps. The Jedi Service Corps members are not to be looked down upon. They are a valuable asset of the Greater Jedi Order.

Article 5

Section 1 The Agricultural Corps is our economic branch. They find tech buyers, disperse wealth, manage war money, etc... The Agricultural Corps is led by the AgriCorps Master. He is contacted by the Reassignment Council on votes and new members of the Agricultural Corps. He is given the ability to make announcements so he can stay in touch with all members off the AgriCorps. Every month the AgriCorps Master must send the Grand Master the monthly Agricultural Report. It reports about how much money was dispersed, how many tech dealers were found, etc... This report is expected to be given to the Grand Master during the first week of every month. The AgriCorps Master serves for 6 months before either stepping down or running for the position again. All Service Corps Masters are nominated by the High Council and voted for by all Jedi.

Section 2 The Medical Corps is our healing and growing branch. They are highly connected to the AgriCorps. After a member is in war they help them by sending aid and advising on what to do next. They also send money to new members. They get this money from tech deals and the AgriCorps. The overseer of the Medical Corps is called the Master Healer. He is elected and serves terms the same way as the AgriCorps Master. He has the same privileges too. The Master Healer must also send a report to the Grand Master during the first week of each month.

Section 3 The Educational Corps teaches new members about the history of the Greater Jedi Order and the World. They also teach them about the treaty spectrum. One of the most important things they teach new members is how to build their nation with the money they are given from the Medical Corps. The Educational Corps is led by the Chief Librarian. He must also send a report to the Grand Master during the first week of each month. He is elected and serves terms the same as the others. He also has the same privileges. The Chief Librarian must also document our history, new members, treaties, etc...

Section 4 The Exploration Corps is our recruitment branch. It is led by the Master Voyager. He is elected and serves the same terms as the others. He also has the same privileges. He also has to send the Grand Master a report during the first week of each month. The Exploration Corps mass messages unaffiliated nations and recruits new nations. They are a very important part of our alliance.

Article 6

Section 1 The Council of First Knowledge is a Council who's purpose is only known by the High Council and themselves. The members of it are only known by themselves and the Grand Master.

Section 2 The members are personally chosen by the Grand Master. The Grand Master assigns them their jobs, and on rare occasions, the High Council.

Article 7

Section 1 The Council of Reconciliation oversees all diplomatic events. They write up treaties and dispatch ambassadors and diplomats.

Section 2 The Council of Reconciliation is to be made up of five members. Just like the other Councils, it is to have two permanent members and three members that serve six month terms. Just like the others, the Grand Master will be one of the permanent members.

Section 3 In times of war, the Council of Reconciliation can negotiate peace terms. However, only the High Council can declare war or peace.

Article 8

Section 1 Any type of treaty can be signed with another alliance. Treaties can be public or private. Some treaties can be so private that only the Grand Master and the owner of the other alliance can view it.

Section 2 Only the Grand Master can sign treaties. On some occasions others may sign them, but only for show. The Grand Master alone has the power to sign and put treaties into use.

Article 9

Section 1 Amendments can be made to this charter by the High Council. In order to officially add an amendment, it must receive at least five votes yes of the seven possible votes. It will not go into affect or be denied until either yes gets five yes votes, or no gets three votes.

Section 2 Amendments will not go into affect for 48 hours after they pass. If an amendment it denied, it may not be proposed again for one week.

I have great worries about darkness shourding over gjo. The sith will not be happy about this.

We wish for a NAP with the Sith.

Hah. I guess I know what it is :3

Well, KoTR might be a good choice, but Kashmir is fine too.

Musical interlude!

DoE, oh dear, please disappear

Rey, will raid you in an hour

Me, a humble heckler

FA, yours appears to have gone sour

So, how long 'til you disband?

La, I'm all out of ideas

Tea, with popcorn is quite bland

That will bring us do DoE oh no no

I actually thought about doing it before you posted but even at my NS it seems kinda iffy to skip out on a global war.

I'm only 8k casualties from 1m and have an open aggro slot, though, so it's still really tempting.
