Ferrie
It's just too damn bad what this game has become. We have(myself included) become a bunch of self righteous, hypocrites. We whine about being down-declared, then do the very thing we hate a couple weeks later, using the justification that two wrongs make it right. I don't expect anyone, or anything to change, because after all, this is who we are as a society. Just putting it out there so players may remember how much fun this game used to be, and how far it's fallen. This is my farewell thread. I can't go out alone, though. So with my departure, I'm giving the last couple nations to curbstomp me a couple goodbye kisses. Big smooches to you, TPC. And toodle-ooo to the rest of you. It's been a hellova' ride. Salute! Ferrie
Won't even buy soldiers... Why buy soldiers just so you guys can smash me to the ground? I'd like to be around long enough for ALL my nukes(minus the ones you steal, of course) to find their targets. During my last war with TPC I couldn't even attack you guys due to my odds at full deployment being at like 22%. You guys were massive! In the old days, I could have used underdog attacks to chip away. but due to people whining about someone half their size having a chance to do some damage in a war, that has all but vanished. Sure you can still get an underdog attack in here, and there.... But its not worth losing the 200k for half the damage on a miniscule chance that it'll even work. Yet another example of how the game has changed. Anyways.... This is way more fun. So you're saying your guys aren't enjoying the other side of this? :smug: Edit: spelling Edited November 21, 2013 by Ferrie

Ferrie
So says you. Being that you're a TPC lapdog, you wouldn't agree with me if I made the most accurate of assumptions... Thanks for the opinion, though.

Ferrie
I'd agree with you if you were right but your not. Underdog attacks work still. I never said they didn't work still, Paul. I simply meant the use of them has changed. The cap has fluctuated over the years. Even if you get off a successful raid now, with 10 infra destroyed, and 1 tech destroyed/stolen, you still drop 100/200k. Defeating the purpose of the attack IMO. Edit: Grammar dropped cash is 100k (assuming you have some spare cash)+more money depending on how many soldiers/tanks you lost. I don't see 200k underdogs happening, unless the other guy is at like 6k infra and you sent 1 soldier and 3k tanks or something against him. And no, Its not particularly fun to fight someone who has decided to turtle from the beginning. :) C'mon little buddy... Obviously the more damage I take, the less tech I'll have, and the less effective my nukes will be. It's common sense. By losing ground battles, I forfeit tech, AND money. Now, with me having an ax to grind on the way out, it's a logical, and effective strategy.

Ah. and thank you for your idea (some tournaments ago) of a prudent time off for Christmas and the Holidays... something that now a days has taken life for good with the ADMIN "Go Ahead" this year... Einer
Good job. I was initially quite annoyed that I might have to burn 10%, or maybe even 15% of my warchest on the rebuild. However, I think I'll make part of that back on the bill reduction.
