RADIO RHODESIA-NYASALAND interrupts this broadcast to bring you important news. Field Marshall Constantine Chiwenga, Governor General of Rhodesia and acting Prime Minister has resigned this afternoon after the wave of protests and outrage over the establishment of the Provisional Military Government, a move viewed as authoritarian and oppressive by trade unions and political parties of Rhodesia Nyasaland that declared a general strike to "force the military Junta to resign, restore multiparty democracy and re-establish the Federal Republic."

After only 5 days, the Provisional Military Government has ceased to exist when State President Ian Smith, exercising full authoritative power of the Nation, declared the re-establishment of the Federal Republic of Rhodesia Nyasaland "We believe in a system of multiparty democracy. We believe in liberty, private initiative, government by the people for the people. After a round of talks with the representatives of Rhodesia Nyasaland's political parties, i have decided to appoint The Right Honourable Member of Parliament, Winnie Mandela, leader of the Rhodesian African National Congress, as Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Rhodesia Nyasaland. God bless you, and god bless Rhodesia".  said State President Ian Smith in a radio broadcast.

The Afrikaner National Party announced its support for the new administration, and will form a coalition with the Rhodesian African National Congress as planned for the General Elections. Prime Minister Winnie Mandela will be the first woman to ever become Prime Minister of Rhodesia Nyasaland, and the first woman to ever become Prime Minister in the history of Post-Transvaal breakaway republics after Annetje Van Mattheus

Prime Minister Winnie Mandela addressed the press conference saying that the Federal Assembly will strife for the best solutions and the best choices for the people of Rhodesia Nyasaland "Nobody but this Federal Assembly has the right to exercise its authority in the name of the people of Rhodesia Nyasaland. We will strife for the best Government in Rhodesia, we will protect the rights of all, irrespective of color, race, political opinions, religions and sex. We will implement all the necessary reforms with particular regards to the troubled situation of Rhodesia's trade agreements, a situation that is leading our economy right into the nightmare of stagnation and possibly recession." she said during a press conference.

Paraguay welcomes this new government and wishes it the best of luck.

Noting that the situation in RHODESIA-NYASALAND has subsided, at least for now, Secretary Scavo will return to Paraguay to deal with the current crisis in Bolivia.
