Captain Enema
"Legion does not see the vote of the African Region being cast in this matter. It wishes to condemn the representative for not exercising its vote within the security council. Effective immediately, Legion will be calling for an immediate virtual meeting of African nations to discuss this issue and the ongoing crisis in Rhodesia. Further, should the UN get off the can anytime soon, Legion will dedicate the 1st and 2nd Regimental Combat Teams to assisting in this sad affair." lkfht
"Fellow delegates, ladies and gentlemen: I wish to bring the UNSC up to date on the recent findings made by NGOs and the Paraguayan Armed Forces in Rhodesia. Military personnel are currently being held at the FOB Alpha 1 and Air Force at Air Base Lusaka. Commanding officers report little resistance in their vicinity, however heavy fighting is reported north of their location. Civilian casualties are increasing as well as refugees. The Army and Marine personnel are currently their as UN Peacekeepers and will continue in that capacity for the time being. Paraguayan officials have received intelligence of heavy weaponry being accessed by the rebels and continued increase in numbers of fighters. Brigadier General Ciro Amado, Commanding Officer of all Paraguayan Peacekeeping Forces, is considering moving the 1st Marine Expeditionary Unit north towards the border to help civilians flee further south. The Paraguayan Agency for International Development (PAID) is also in the country and has established a refugee camp. This site is named Camp Hope and is currently occupied by at least 1,500 refugees. PAID has workers in the camp, specifically medical and food distributors, however supplies is running low. PAID Regional Director, Mr. Felippe Villena has requested foreign assistance in terms of food, clean drinking water, and emergency tents be sent to Camp Hope immediately to accommodate the growing number of refugees. President Melosa Navar has directed the 6th Medical Group to assist PAID in medical assistance to the local population, however The Regional Director stresses the need for the international community send aid as soon as possible. I would also like to make a personal appeal to all UN members to please do whatever they can do to help alleviate the suffering the local population is enduring to to this conflict." - UN Ambassador Silandra Lopez

Zoot Zoot
The Norse representative would stand. "We would like to lodge a complaint to the Security Council over an incident in the Indian Ocean. Three warships, transporting the Norse Peacekeeping forces moving the closest port to the Rhodesian combat zone in the Athenian protectorate. They received a message from Tianxia aircraft: Entrance into the Indian Ocean by hostile navies is restricted. Turn back immediately or you will be sunk per long standing Tianxia Military Orders. We would like an explanation for why the Peacekeeping force was referred to as a hostile navy, when it was operating under a UN mandate. We were under the impression that after Athens gave permission for forces to land and cross its protectorate, that this would include all areas of the African protectorate. Why were Norse ships, operating under UN mandate to act as Peacekeepers in Rhodesia, referred to as hostile forces?
Triyun
The UN mandate did not overrule the long standing strategic defense posture of the Empire. The Empire's Strategic Defense Posture is to not allow military forces not aligned with the Empire to deploy any strategic asset to the Indian and Pacific Oceans. This can only be removed by a resolution of the security council. There is zero reason why a amphibious assault ship is needed to transport troops to a land locked country. Only responsible military forces will be allowed into the Indian Ocean in any way that can have alternative power projection means. Attempts to test this will be met with force. The LDP was used to transport a single Battalion of marines and the equipment they would need for sustained Peacekeeping operations to the closest port city to the crisis, which was Beira City, a second Battalion of Engineers were flown into the Paraguayan airbase. We are not debating your ESDP, we are debating your usage of the term "hostile navy", which would imply that you see the Kingdom as a hostile state, when no such provocation has taken place to deserve such words, especially as the units in question were operating to support UNSC operations, which would by defacto, allign us with the Empire for the purposes of the mission at hand unified under the United Nations. Triyun
You don't need an assault ship to deploy engineers. Further fighting a bunch of teenagers high on khat and Che Guevaran romanticism shooting AKs that can't hit the broadside of a barn hardly qualifies as a reason to deploy strategic assets into the Indian Ocean or reasons for us to amend our policies compared to longer term security trends and interests. Discrediting this as the atrocity it is does not have a favorable light showing on A permanent member of the UN. How can you lead when you jest about the civil war in Rhodesia. It hardly shows you a competent leader. We ask you to be more civil in your discussions toward member states, so they seeing your morality, and good want for the people of the world will follow suit. Ultimately, changing your attitude can only benefit the peoples'. -Lionel Bata
