It was just before sunrise, Lord Buliwyf stood at the edge of his balcony, hair waving in the crisp morning breeze "It's getting cooler" he thought to himself. He turned around and  summoned his personal steward, "Bring me whoever is in charge of the merchants guild, tell him his presence is needed by noon tomorrow"  The steward quickly turned around and rushed out to find the man.

Ragnar then started to move down to the great hall, he had a day of appointments to see to and the  problems of petty peasants to attend. Lord Buliwyf had taken to drinking more often since he was made a lord, his close companions had noticed this and brought it up with Ragnar, but he had quickly dismissed them as lies. But he knew to himself that the drink had been starting to have a major effect on him, he was beginning to eat less and drink a lot more and it had been effecting his strength. "Seven hells I should stop" He thought to himself as he poured a new cup full of wine.

During the daily appointments a peasant in chains being held by guards was brought up-to Lord Buliwyf, one of the guards quickly spoke to Ragnar "M'lord, we caught him trying to sneak into the kitchen trying to steal food" Ragnar looked sternly at the thief "What's your name boy, and how old are you?" The boy looked scared to Ragnar "T.T..Tom  m..m'lord"

"And your age boy, what's that?" The boy again looking scared mumbled a number "I can't hear you boy" Ragnar said, as Ragnar said that the boy blurted out "13 m'lord"

Ragnar searching around the room, began to laugh "Hahaha, 13 he says, seven hells, 13...So Tom, is it true, did you try to steal food from my kitchen" "The boy was dragged to his feet by the guards "N...no m'lord it's a lie I tell you"  Ragnar began to laugh again, " Oh a lie he says, boy you understand telling me lies is a crime correct? I could have your head for this"  "The boy nodded, m'lord I was just hungry, I hadn't ate in days" Ragnar shuffled in his seat, "Even if that's true boy, you have to be punished." The boy began to cry, "Please don't!" he pleaded "I'll do anything, please don't take my head!" Ragnar jumped up and began to laugh "Boy, I'm not going to kill you, however you are going to be punished, 20 lashes" The boy began to sob "T..thanks m'lord" as Lord Buliwyf began to walk away he whispered to his  servant, "Make sure the boy is not hungry when he leaves"

As the boy was being taken for his punishment, the servant ran over and put 2 pieces of silver in the boys pocket.

Lord Buliwyf began to walk to his meeting chamber, he was told the head of the merchants guild had arrived and he quickly wished to speak to him. As he entered the chamber he sat down at the top of the long oak table, he poured himself a new cup of wine and began to speak to the merchant, "It's getting cooler and the days are beginning to become shorter" The merchant nodded in agreement "I need you to start to hold grain back from Essos and other cities, we need to begin stockpiling grain, summer is ending, and as the Starks say, winter is coming" The merchant nodded and began to speak "You're very correct lord buliwyf, but why should we begin to hold back our own stockpiles of grain for your benefit?" Ragnar snarled "My benefit? It's the benefit of the kingdom all seven of them, and your pocket merchant, I'm sure it'll be fat before summer returns, although if you like we can find your head on a spike and see the other merchants about this?" Ragnar grinned. "Money you say? Why didn't you say that before, of course we'll hold back the grain, it's to help the kingdom correct? Anything we can do to help and become more wealthy is good for us!" Ragnar smiled, "Good we have a deal, I want 100 tonnes of grain delivered to the warehouses every fortnight speak to my steward about payment" And with that Ragnar waved the merchant away and got out of his chair himself.

Night was beginning to fall, and he decided he would head to his chamber to sleep, tomorrow he wanted to begin work on swordplay and to finally try to get rid of his constant need for wine and other alcoholic drinks.

As he was walking up the stairs, he began to hear a rush of footsteps closing in behind him, he quickly reached for his sword and turned around to see his Maester running and shouting for him with something in his hands. "Lord Buliwyf" He shouted "Lord Buliwyf!" Ragnar stood there waiting for him, "What's the matter Maester, what seems to big issue?" The Maester while panting began to spit out words " A...a a raven arrived from Starfell, it's marked urgent my lord" and he handed over the letter to Ragnar

Lord Buliwyf,

You're hereby ordered to report to Starfell in a fortnight with two thousand of your strongest and most trusted men.

 -Lord Fyrentes
