Laying claim to, New Zealand and the realm of New Zealand bar all territories north of the Kernadec Islands, south of the Campbell Islands and the waters existing between as sovereign territory of Zealand. Upon acceptance of this, Zealand plans to build its first shipyards as to build the Zealand Navy. The royal family has yet to be announced but is assumed to be of a prominent Maori family within the Kingdom. OOC: flag on the way. Also those Islands are all the realm of New Zealand, minus niue, thecook islands and torkelau. Also Zealand does not lay claim to the ross dependency whatsoever. Economic ministers are TBA at this moment as King Samuel Arapeta has taken a long boat with his family and royal guard to meet with his citizens. The king is expected to be dressed in the national ice blue coronation robes as he lands in Otago for his first stop. Rumours persist that the king is to appoint a minister from the area and so all eyes will be fixed on the south island these next few days. The judiciary branch is said to be in the works of being established with its Supreme court located in Auckland. Yet nothing has been heard of a legislative branch, rumours are saying that the Queen will personally oversee all legislation and be given the power to bar any and all power of the Judiciary branch should it pertain to the governance/passing of laws. A man of 36 with years of experience in the south islands economy, he is to be sworn into office in the overmorrow yet even now he has began his work by opening two ironsand mines in Taharoa and Waikata North head, which have an expected fe balance of 40% allowing nearly 2Mtonnes per year to be mined for the next 10-15 years. Along with the new iron mines was a gold mine and refinery in Waihi which was purchased from the private sector to be an additional 100k ounces of gold and nearly 700k ounces of silver. When asked about the quick moves Minister Graham replied 'Just looking to improve my country is all. ' Metro or Monster?: By Jakob Olm 6/18 With another rapid fire appointment Francis Amakera has been appointed as Minister of Transportations. With his first bill the queen has approved a 5.6 Billion dollar Fast trak train stretching from Auckland to Nelson. The train is said to be passing through two small villages that will need to be relocated incuring an additional 30 million to cover the expenses of rehousing the displaced citizens. While the train is said by some to be a gift in creating 5,000 jobs roughly during construction. Others are arguing that the Train is nothing but trouble and a waste of government funding. The Government of Merina refrains from full recognition due to conflicting territorial claims but would like to establish a Economic and Cultural Representative Office in Wellington.
