Wu Tang Clan
So this is an idea I've been toying with and tossed around with some alliancemates for a while now, and thought I'd finally push it out there. Goal: Encourage new strategic decisions, and add depth to war tactics and alliance building. Idea: An alliance reserve system tied to the number of improvements and wonders a given alliance possesses. The alliance reserve, in my idea, consists of money and soldiers. However, other aspects (planes, nukes, etc.) could be added for even more strategic decisions, or soldiers could be taken away for simplicity. Procedure: Every bank raises the reserve by $500,000. Every Federal Aid Commission adds $1,000,000. Every Barracks raises the soldier reserves by 5,000. Every Pentagon and Weapons Research Complex raises the soldier reserves by 10,000. In order to actually add value to the reserves the money/soldiers must be donated by a given nation residing on the alliance affiliation. The designated leader can decide how to distribute funds/soldiers as they see fit. Once distributed the money/soldiers are gone, but can be rebuilt should a given nation decide to donate more. The distribution takes up no aid slot (obviously, since this is TE). A given nation can only receive 1 distribution every 10 days. Distributions max out at $2,000,000 / 20,000 soldiers. Use: To be determined. This will certainly add depth to the war process as money and soldiers could be funneled to nations in need. Furthermore, a lot of this can be implemented into alliance building strategy (ie. funneling money to a large nation and build an upper-tier that can in-turn prop up the reserve at a later date, or helping several smaller nations build up to form a solid mid-tier). Admittedly there may become a time when $2,000,000 no longer has a profound impact on a given nation, and it remains to be seen how this particular issue will be addressed. Potential Variations: Aforementioned adding of planes, tanks, nukes, etc to the reserve system (amounts tied to other improvements and wonders). Tying max distribution amounts to nation strength, or infrastructure level. Different caps. Possible max donation level for a given nation. Obviously welcoming additional feedback/thoughts/concerns. KingBilly1
This seems to be one of the best ideas i have seen! I would suggest that it may only be used once or twice per day? Nice thinking :)
OverlordShinnra
TE doesn't have an aiding process and I like that its different from SE in that way.
