Celebrations occured across the nation as the Prairie Union officially annexed Alberta and non-Vaule BC, because of the lack of prairies in BC the Prairie Union was also renamed to the Western Union. Also announced was that an estimated 75% of former Northern Imperium government and military officers had been arrested and are now awaiting trial.

Also announced was an open contract for 1,000 C-130 Hurcules aircraft, and that 50% of the WU infantry would recieve paratrooper training.

A pipeline request was approved to link Edmonton and Kitimat where a major harbour was now under construction to take the traditional role of Vancouver as a shipping hub for the west.

Private:

The MMEV project of former Canada has been revived, also underway is the production of over 1200 AH-64D Apaches, the numbers will be maintained at 5 Apaches per Legion (250 per field army). Paths through ther Rockie mountains would also notice heavy construction as the mountain paths were fortified with thousands of bunkers of various size, many of which would make use of the terrain by being built under foliage, into mountains, or in other hard to notice locations to become almost completely invisible to satellite.

Along the coast a number of cruise missile stations were under construction, using the various islands to hide small groups of Tomahawk and BrahMos missiles. Along the western edge of the rockies a number of statis Tomahawk sites were under construction, these sites were designed to keep any landing ships within range while staying as far from the coast as possible and hidden as well as possible.
