By now it was a bit hard to miss the events developing, with a short sigh Ariadne approached the collection of people. "Did you really start the fun emancipation debate without me?" Ariadne said after Jia finished. "Add one for me to that order"
The moment Ariadne approached, however, Theresia turned with an acute smile across her face. Austria had never gotten along well with the true leader of the Athenian Empire, Magdalena's marriage to Valerio and Theresia's ascension to power had been looked by Athens as problems in maintaining a stable Europe. She disliked Ariadne, finding her an upstart and ungrateful to a friendship that Austria had always tried to create. In Tianxia it was automatic, except for the Amazon faction.

"Ariadne," said the Empress, "A pleasure. Though I don't know if beer suits you all that well. You wouldn't want to lose that figure, sitting on your throne all day."

Mikhail smiled after overhearing the spat between the Tianxians and the King of Terre Regius. He knew that Emperor Jia wasn’t averse to speaking his mind in any situation, nor were the other members of Tianxia’s royal family. They always knew how to make any event more interesting than before.
Meanwhile, Nika, moving away from both the Tianxian delegation and the departure of King Andrea walked over to where Mikhail stood. She had met him once during negotiations near Mount Tengri and as a fellow Russian, always had a soft spot for the Imperial Russian Family. "Majesty," she said with a curt bow, "I don't know if you remember me. Nika Radinkova, Shield-Maiden to Empress Theresia, how have you been?"

-Now go get me a god damn beer."
Minister Teguse would pass with the Princess at the most inopportune moment to hear that last insult be hurled at the King of Terre Regius. Stunned, she could not help but unleash the stankiest of the stank face as she passed, holding the Princess tighter still as they passed other delegates towards the dining hall.

“Yes, I do remember you. It is good to see you again.” Mikhail said with a smile, “You’re from the Amazonian region, right? It has been a while, how have you been?” Natalia sensed that his smile was something more than just a friendly gesture. She latched on to his arm tightly as if she was preventing him from floating away.

"I'm glad you still remember me," she said and pushed a few brown strands of hair out of her eyes. "And yes, we met during the negotiations near Mount Tengri. I'm doing just fine, in the service of Their Majesties still, though aside from a few internal conflicts, life has been quite calm." Turning to Natalia, the Amazon bowed her head again. "And you are, Madame?"

Jia watched on amused by the double spectacle. The Emperor would either have the distinct pleasure of watching his wife beat up Ariadne, or see one of the Amazons attempt to steal the Russian Czar out from this ballerina. Reaching out for a drink as it went by to another table he snatched it off the tray sipping it casually. Only as he took a hearty sip did he realize it was a gin martini. He smiled to himself, "C'est la vie." he said as he readied for the impending festivities.

"Oh but Theresia, running a country where you actually were born and not just given a title requires quite some energy. Though I guess the former has been so long ago for you you wouldn't remember." Ariadne said turning away from the Austrian she had always felt didn't earn any position of power maintained.

It was too much. Only earlier in the week had the Germans revoked her Austrian citizenship and called her an inbred, because of her hostility at racist changes in their domestic policies. Now, the Empress of Athens was calling her undeserving of her position in Tianxia. This woman who had never shown any bit of kindness to the Hapsburgs or Austria, this woman who held herself to such a high degree, the infamous Ice-!@#$%* who no man could speak with and no weapon could maim. Theresia stared up at this 'living-goddess' and growled before swinging her right hand, backhanding the Empress of Athens across the face.

The room immediately went silent.

Theresia panted, a smirk coming over her face. "So that's what it's like to hit a goddess. Heh, it feels pretty good." She stood straight and glared at the Athenian, "I think you're well enough versed in European affairs to know what I propose."

As soon as the hand hit her face Orpheus and the other guard were getting ready to strike at the Austrian however they were stopped by Ariadne before they could. Ariadne made a fist and hit her back to remove the smirk. "Consider the challenge accepted. Olympus Mons, we leave from Earth next week. I guess you'll have to hitch a ride from your husband."

Jia sipped his drink as he watched his wife slap the Empress of Athens across the face. He spit it out of his mouth immediately, all over the Russian Czar's date. "Oh I'm terribly sorry." Jia said apologetically. Turning to Theresia, he whispered in her ear, "Honey... you ok?" he asked her worried. Afterall she had been the one who told him to behave.

As the room went silent, the sounds of boots on marble thudded as two guards move up, fear entering their eyes. They were meant to stop outside assassination attempts, they hadn't expected world leaders to start hitting each other. One steps forward, "Is there a problem here?"

"The Northern Imperium was a sad case, though admittedly with the exception of Mexico it does feel like North America is a continent that can not stand on its own. More than once now Eurasia has had to intervene for the greater safety of all mankind. I can personally understand your circumstances. Athens is in many ways the same, we have a clash of dozens of cultures. Let's not even start about the dozen religions that all have vital regions inside the Federation. It always is and always will be a careful balancing. As for South America, it is one of those continents where Eurasian intervention has hardly ever been needed. I am confident Colombia and Mexico will keep it this way."
Elena nodded confidently, as Ignacio spoke up, "I am sure that it will stay that way, the need for external intervention in North American affairs is sad enough, it would make my ancestors weep if such interventions were extended to South America. Although, the intervention of the Kingdom of Cochin and the Lunar Republic was a shortsighted move by the two powers, it did secure what was left of South America after that ungodly mess made by the Imperium. I loathe to think that the country wielded any respect for any length of time, in the manner that it broke down, the implosion caused some of the most unneeded grief we have ever seen before. I daresay my country puts that part of its past behind it, a prime example of what happens when a nation and organization falls into chaos, its a very solid reminder to us, and one we cannot forget."

Elena would open her mouth to point out that their hosts were beginning to usher people to dinner, but it was at that moment that a resounding sound of a slap would cause everyone to stop their conversation, and look to where the noise had originated from.

"No problem here gentlemen, it will be continued elsewhere" Ariadne said turning around and moving away from the group.

The strike pushed Theresia's head to the side as she tasted blood on the inside of her mouth. She took a deep breath and looked back at Ariadne. "I guess so." Then turning around she left the small circle they created to walk into the bathroom, trying to relax her nerves after the exchange which had taken place.

Chairman Volkov's eyebrows danced at the mention of Georgia's politics. "That's a can of worms with another can inside it," he commented. "Georgia's politics are dominated by the Communist party, of course. The socialists and Marxists among us are...tolerated, to put it lightly." Placing his glass on the bar so a bartender could refill it, he continued, "Chairmen like myself are elected for life. Elections are internal, Communist party members only. If you aren't a party member, you do not get a vote. We've found it prevents the 'unorthodox' and 'non-conformists' from trying to reverse what we've done for Georgia's good."
Hearing the call for dinner, the Queen replied, "In that case, our political systems may be very much alike, even if appearances say otherwise. It appears that the food is almost ready. Perhaps we should begin moving to the other room. It was a pleasure speaking with you Chairman." The Queen said her farewells and began to move towards the dining room, reconnecting with Minister Aurora on the way.

They didn't reach their destination, the way to the dining room was blocked by the crowd forming to watch the exchange between the women, although the crowd was beginning to disperse. "What was the commotion over here?" the Minister asked.

“Excuse me, where are my manners? Miss Radinkova, this is Natalia Semyonova. She’s a ballerina with the Bolshoi Ballet.” Mikhail blurted out.

“Hello, it is nice to meet you” Natalia said with a nod as more violence seemingly broke out only a few feet away. “It seems like your mistress might need your help” she added with a smirk before turning back to Mikhail. “Should we be going to the dining room now Misha?”

The Emperor knew that look, when she was quiet like that, Jia knew it was the calm before the storm... he would not be on the wrong side of it. Jia looked over at Ariadne shaking his head before heading over to the bar, reaching behind the bar grabbing a bottle of vodka before heading to the woman's bathroom with it. Cracking opened the bottle taking a swig himself to calm his own nerves before entering. Walking past several outrage ladies to where Theresia was, her face flush with anger he placed the bottle down on the counter.

"How are you doing?" he asked her as he leaned back against the counter, "You've had a lot to take in these past couple months." he said concerned.

André Boisclair arrived in Urbem Rex in Cotam Unité, the Presidential Air Transport of the Greater Quebec Republic. With him was Charlotte Dunois and Shirakime, two of his greatest supporters in terms of donations and invited guests. Noting the professional touches to the palace, he complimented Dunois and mentioned that Dunois Engineering & Construction would likely get some new contracts for classified installations.

The fashionable president noted the various guests, and signed at the undignified way quite a few from the supposed superpowers acted. It would seem as if time had reverted back to pre-Westphalian times, where uncultured bores would rule based on their hard power rather than the true will of the nation. Quite sad, but he'll have to live with that. At least that slut princess from Siberia was not around to ruin his mood.

Largely subdued to sitting around and sipping several icewaters, Maksim Bazhenov watched as the leaders of nations physically quarreled in the middle of a ball. He shook his head with some mixture of amusement and disappointment, and without thinking, ordered a fairly heavy vodka-based drink common in Cyrantia. Just as it was served to him, he heard the call to dinner. He stood up from his seat and headed towards the dining room to await his meal, bringing with him his drink, and nodded and several of the faces he knew on the way. He was aware the Colombians were around and kept an eye for their President, though he appeared to be engaged. Sitting down at an empty table, he waited to see what this new King might serve up to the rulers of the world.

The man called Dante strolled along the streets of Urbem Rex his crimson red trench coat flowing out across his broad shoulders and down his sides as he walked, the coat was open and he wore no shirt underneath revealing his muscled chest to the open air and as he walked past a number of woman he quickly caught their attention and he causally threw them all a cheeky grin causing many of them to blush and look away. With a matching pair of red jeans and black boots to complete the outfit Dante continued to head for the Royal Palace, he knew he was late but it did not truly bother him though the sight of the protesters did though he just turned away and went a slightly different route.

Coming to the soldiers on guard duty that night he showed them his diplomatic pass from the Royal Kingdom of Bhutan and his twin handguns which he with some annoyance handed over for them to keep in safety before carrying on into the Royal Palace after a short walk. Brushing a strand of his stark white hair behind his ear he made his way into the reception area just in time to see two women strike each other before stalking away. Laughing at the spectacle Dante took in the varied other guests that were in attendance before shaking his head sadly at how prim and proper they were all dressed whilst he looked more like some rock band's drummer or lead singer.

He was about to head over to the one woman who hadn't gone off to the bathroom to probably cry her eyes out when he heard that it was time for dinner, knowing he could leave introductions to latter he followed the directions to the dining room and found himself an empty seat. Pulling the chair there back he motioned for one of the servant's to come over before ordering the man to fetch him a icy cold beer and as the man scurried away to do such he lowered himself into his seat before leaning back and putting his boots square down on the table and his hands behind his head. From here he watched for both the food to arrive and for the other guests to filter in already noticing that one man had seated himself and he threw that man a brief nod of greeting before going back to watching the other guests flowing into the dining room. Once nearly everyone had been seated at the dinner table, Gloval stepped up to a podium overlooking the dining room, waiting for the room to quiet down.

"Fellow heads of state and other diplomatic representatives of the world, I raise a toast to you. We, politicians, have done the impossible, the creation of a new reality. While the rest of the world operates on a completely separate level, dealing with what they see as real, we have taken a step beyond that and created political reality. The reality where a government is only legitimate if we say it is, instead of the barbarian system of a government being legitimate simply because it has sovereign leadership and military. Amazingly, the only way for the first reality, the one which functions underneath the legal systems of the world, is through violence or threat of violence. But I digress, we are the creators of a new level of understanding, one which can ignore the previous yet still function day to day. I thank you all for recognizing my nation, my rule, and graciously letting Terre Regius participate in the political reality." He raises a glass, "So, I end with a toast."

Sipping from his glass, he moves over to his seat at the head of the table, and the waiters start the first course. The meal would follow a traditional Italian setup, the cooks managing to combine North African and Italian traditional foods in wondrous ways.

OOC: I know nothing about cooking IRL so I have no idea what the food would actually be. :P

Dante sat back listening to the King's speech with a smirk, it sounded like the usual low rung, low standing talk of a man who still didn't know his place in the grand scheme of things, though truth be told it was short and to the point so he gave him that. Pulling his feet down Dante sipped away at the cold beer that had been brought to him whilst the food was brought out for the guests. As the dishes were put before him Dante dived in showing no manners that one would expect of a diplomat or representative but he clearly didn't care taking the time to enjoy the tastes and flavours that were before him.

Ignacio seemed to be generally amused by the scuffle, although he would shake his head, his fiance would have a bit more vocal a response, "I'd certainly expect the leaders of two global powers to act with a little more decorum."

She looked at Ignacio, with a raised eyebrow, and a half smirk, "I daresay, I haven't seen you come back from any diplomatic missions with a black eye, are spates like that, normal?"

"Not really," he commented lightly, with a grin, before turning back to Valerio. "I suppose the show got started early, if you would excuse me, Mr. Moretti, the last thing I had to eat was a bag of peanuts on the flight over, and I've been catching whiffs of food coming from that dining room for the last half hour or so." At that, Ignacio would excuse himself from the bar, with Elena in tow, and they would seat themselves at an empty table in the middle of the room, close enough to show attentiveness to the oncoming speech by the King, but also far away enough so as to appear relaxed and not too forward.

They would raise their own glasses of wine in the toast, and proceed to pick away ravenously at their dinner.

All three of the Athenian delegates listened closely to the king, as the speech ended they turned to the course offered. Ariadne and Hektor were sitting together while Valerio had decided to sit near the Tianxian delegation. Each of them decided to enjoy their meals for now and not to bother with the politics of things.
